2 PROFORM is a registered trademark of ICON IP , Inc. The warning sign, shown below , must be posted on a wall or fence where it will be visible to all users of the hydrotherapy spa. Whenever the spa is moved, the sign must also be moved and reposted near the spa.

6 C ongratulations for selecting the new PROFORM ® TEMPEST hydrotherapy spa. The innovative TEM- P EST spa allows you to enjoy all the benefits of hydrotherapy in the comfort and privacy of your home. Hydrotherapy is a proven method for soothing tired muscles after exercise or for relieving the stress of a busy life.
7 There are many factors to consider when choosing a location to set up the hydrotherapy spa. These factors vary depending on whether you plan to use the spa inside or outside. We have listed several factors you may wish to consi der as you decide where to set up the spa.
8 Wiring the Hydrotherapy Spa T his procedure must be performed by a qualified, licensed electrician in accordance with the nation- al electric code, and with all local, state, and feder- al electric code. Under no circumstances should t he hydrotherapy spa be wired by someone other t han a qualified electrician.
9 1. Before beginning assembly , make sure that you have read and understand the information in the box above and on the previous two pages. Remove the eight #10 x 2” Machine Screws (39). Carefully remove the Access Panels (25) and set them aside. Be careful not to damage the spa shell.
10 3. Make sure that a qualified electrician has wired the spa to a 240 volt power source. Remove the two warning decals (see page 5) from t he spa shell. Using a damp cloth, wipe the spa shell clean. Before filling the spa, make sure that it is in the desired position and that there is room to easily service it.
1 1 The hydrotherapy spa is designed to seat seven adults. The spa holds approximately 375 gallons of water and offers a heating system (80°F to 104°F), a filtration system, and adjustable hydrotherapy jets. F ollow the guidelines below to use and maintain the spa for your long-term enjoyment.
12 8. After one minute, the current temperature of the water will be displayed. Push the temperature up o r down button to set the temperature of the water . If the water temperature is below the set t emperature, the heat indicator light will turn on to show that the water is being heated.

14 Using the Controls Air control 1 determines the amount of air flowing through the hydrotherapy jets labeled 1 in the drawing above. If the control is turned counterclockwise, the amount of air will increase; if the control is turned clockwise, the amount of air will decrease.
15 Y our spa features an LED light with twelve different programmed lighting effects: 1 . Lights cycle between Red, Green, and Blue 2. Dark Blue 3 . Orange 4. Purple 5. Green 6. Red 7. Hot Pink 8. Cyan 9. White 10. Color Spectrum (each color is displayed for approximately one minute) 1 1.
16 Maintenance The hydrotherapy spa is designed to provide years of e njoyment. Please follow the guidelines below to properly maintain your spa. MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE Daily • Check the water level and refill the spa to the level shown in step 3 on page 10.
17 W A TER CHEMISTRY M aintaining the pH level of the water is very important to the operation of the spa. T o maintain the proper pH l evel and to sanitize the spa, you can purchase a chemical starter kit from your local pool and spa sup- ply store.
18 A TT ACHING AND REMOVING THE ACCESS P ANELS Shut off the power to the spa, at the circuit breaker or G FCI. T o remove the indicated Access Panels (25), remove the eight #10 x 2” Machine Screws (39) that secure the Access Panels to the spa. Carefully remove the Access Panels and set them aside.
19 DRAINING THE PUMPS A fter the hydrotherapy spa is drained, the jet pumps should also be drained if the spa will be stored for m ore than thirty days or if it may be exposed to freez- ing temperatures. Shut off the power to the spa, at the circuit breaker or GFCI.
20 1 . SYMPTOM: THE SP A WILL NOT OPERA TE a. Check to see if the GFCI breaker is tripped or was not turned on. Reset the GFCI breaker . 2. SYMPTOM: THE CIRCUIT BREAKER OR THE GFCI TRIPS WHILE THE SP A IS OPERA TING a. Reset the circuit breaker or the GFCI.
21 9. SYMPTOM: THE W A TER LEVEL DROPS a . A clamp or seal inside the pump compartment may be loose. Check inside the pump compart- m ent for excess water and watch the pump unit while it is operating to see if water drips from any of the plumbing.
