3 G ETTING S TARTED Caution To prevent seri ous damage to the UltraTrak100 be sure that the voltage- select switch on the back of the pow er supply i s set to your local voltage (see Figure 2 on page 5). Getting started w ith the UltraTr ak100 consist of the follow ing steps: 1.

5 C ONNECTING THE SCSI C ABL ES Installa tion of t he UltraTrak10 0 disk array is very simi lar to th e instal lation of a standard SCSI drive. The SCS I connector accept s the standa rd 68-pin LVD SC SI connect or used on most LVD SCSI device s .

The following pro c edures prov ide t he basic st eps needed to create a n array and get y our UltraTrak1 00 runnin g qui ckly.

Since the array is not fault tolerant, the d ata stored in the array is no lo nger accessible. If the drive w as removed, then i t should be rep laced to re store acc essibility to t he array.

T he SEL key is the n used to sele ct array nu mber 1-4. The param eter to be config ured, RAID Level or Stripe Block size, is then selecte d with up/dow n keys.
