4 If you ha ve problems with the QG FSP components, contact your service provider. When i nstallation is complete , you will have one o r more telephone jack s on the ins ide of your b uilding. What y our installer does Your serv ice provid er will perform the QGFS P insta llati on and may supp ly a telephone a s part of your QGFSP install ation.
5 QG FSP I nstal l ati on Pow e r s u p p ly The power supply is select ed by the service provi der and the i nstalle r based on the availabili ty of pow er at your lo cation. Th e power suppl y provides +12 volts to the junction box and RAU. QUALCOMM s ells a p ower sup ply for use with the QGFSP.
6 You can connect one or more telepho nes to your QGFSP. When using sev eral telepho nes, an ind ividual tele phone sh ould be 0.5 to 1.5 REN ( ringer eq uivalency numbe r). The REN of t he telephon e is usually on the bott om of the telep hone. Add t he REN of all the telephones you int end to us e.
7 QG FSP I nstal l ati on T ypes of calling tones When you list en to the handset , you may hear any of the follow ing ton es: To n e D e s c r i p t i o n Ring A ringing sound from y our telephone announces an incoming call. Dial A steady tone i ndicates t he phone is ready to us e.

9 Usi ng Y our Q GFSP Using Y our QGFSP The QGFSP acts like a conventi onal wirel ine tele phone, wit h one ex ception: af ter you dial a number there is a pause, then the QG FSP wil l attemp t to pl ace the call. Afte r you have di aled the number, you can pr ess the # key to begin the ca ll process witho ut wai ting for the pause to end.
10 Ending a call To end a call (ha ng up) replace t he handset in i ts cradle. Be sure the ha ndset is seate d properly in the cradle. Recei ving a call When y ou have a n incoming ca ll, the te lephones connected to the QGFSP will ring. To answ er the call, pick up a ny handset and spe ak into it .
