10 Instal lation Square Config uration When all lin es are al l com mon, the config ura- tion is called square. Si nce all l ines a re com- mon, c alls on any l ine can be tra nsferred to any st ati on. Non-Square Configur ati on/ Private L ine Support When all li nes ar e not c ommon, the conf igu- ration is called non-square.

14 Preparation V ERIFYING SY STEM CONFIGURATION To ve rify th at all s tat ion s a r e co mmun ica ting, hold d ow n PA G E A L L until 3$* , 1 * 3$* , 1 * 3$* , 1 * 3$* , 1 * an d the s ta- tion nu mbers for all connec ted stations ap- pear. Be sure all the sta tions conne cted to Lin e 1 appear.
