11 To sile nce the a lert tones, press ALERT T ONE OFF . WX/ALERT flashes until yo u switch to WX mo de and lis ten to the br oadcast. Or press PTT to silence the al ert tone s so WX/ALERT s top s flas hin g. Ô To reduc e the alert tone levels for subsequ ent ale rts, hold down ALERT TONE OFF for about two seconds whil e WX/ALERT f lashes.
