RCA easyRip™ Media Sof tware lets you import music files from CDs and other sources, or ganize your music library, and transfer unpr otected MP3 and WMA files to and fr om this player .
18 Connecting to the computer Connect the player to y our computer with the USB connector cable provided . The screen will light up • automatically . The player will be labeled "RCA MP3" . It will appear as a drive letter on your comput er and behave as a • detachable drive for file transf er .
19 Managing files on your RCA Pla yer Before y ou begin using your RCA play er , you’ll want to cop y your media files to the play er . Y ou can use any of the following methods to transf er content.
Using W indows Explorer 1. Open the player in Windows Explorer . 2. Drag and drop audio/video/photo/text files to the MUSIC, VIDEO , PHOT O or EBOOK folders of the player . Deleting files from the play er Y ou may delete any files transf erred to the player .
21 General controls T urning the player on and off Slide the ON/OFF switch to ON to turn on the play er . Slide the ON/OFF switch to OFF to turn off the player . Resetting the player Slide the ON/OFF switch to OFF . Slide the ON/OFF switch to ON t o reset the player .
22 Menu types The player has two menu types: Home menu The player menu appears when y ou turn on the player or if you pr ess and hold M while listening to the player .
23 The Home menu The top-level or “Home ” menu is always displayed when you pr ess and hold M . The menu options are: Music Press M to enter the Music menu and choose an artist, album, genre or individual title. Video Press M to enter the Video menu and choose a particular video for viewing.
24 Playing music files The player sorts your music files by track name (title), artist, album and genre. 1. Press or to navigate to Music . 2. Press M t o enter Music mode.

34 Tips and tr oubleshooting Cannot delete files on the play er . • Y ou can delete files on the player using y our computer . Connect the player to y our computer . Open the player in Windows Explorer and navigat e to the folder containing the files .
35 The play er takes a long time to read files in a f older . • File r eading may take longer if too many files ar e put in a single folder . Re- organize your files into a number of folders. Song information is not showing corr ectly . • Song information may not match your curr ent player ’ s language setting.
