2 INTRODU C TION If you ex p erience a ny difficulty with the installation or operation of your new shower, the n ple a se refer to the “What to do if things go wrong” section in this manual bef o re contacting us.
3 IF WATER IS TOO C OLD Turn in n er knob “B” clockwise in the direction of the “red a r rows” to “1 o’clock ” and continue turning c l ockwise until you get the water temperatur e of your liking. Wait 20 seconds after each adjustment for the water temperature to stablise.
4 WARNING: CONSI D ERATION SHOULD B E GIVEN TO SUPERVISING THE YOUNG, ELDERL Y AND THE I N FIRM W HILST THEY USE THIS SHOWER 1. Water is heated instantaneously as it flows over the heating elements in the copper cylinder (diagram 2). 2. The heaters are only switched on when sufficient water is flowing.
5 HOW TO MAI N T A IN YOUR ACTIV E 320S SHOWER will turn off the power to the heating elements, resulting i n a cold s h ower. This will be indicated by the neon light going out. It is recommended that the shower unit and hose etc. be cleaned using a soft cloth and t h at the use of ab r asive or solvent cleaning fluid be avoided.
6 WHAT TO DO IF THINGS GO W RO NG (2) RED R ING A F TER SALES SER V ICE Water c o ntinues to flow when “ (stop)” selec t ed This is normal. The shower i nclu d es a shutdown feature that means t he water will con t inue to flow for up to 3 secon d s after “ (stop)” has b een se l ected.
7 The model and serial n umber are located on the botto m face of the shower. Make a note of those n umbers here, and be sure to quote them if you call for advice.
8 6. Decide the position of entry of the cold wate r pipe into the unit. If top, cut away the backplate. If rear, please read the section on plumbing. If bottom, remove the front cover ( c omplete with knobs) and cut away the detachable c orner section as shown.
9 7. The shower is designed to have an open out l et and should only be used with ”Redring” recommended fittings. Do not c onnect the handset until after the shower front c over and c orner section are fitted. WARNING: DO NOT FIT A TAP O N THE SHOWER OUTLET.
10 5. Re-Fit the front cover (see diagram 9) a. Ensure outer knob “A” is aligned fully anti-clockwise to the “ (stop) “ position. b. Ensure inner knob “B” is aligned to the “ (high)” position. c. In the main body of the shower, turn the “Drive Spider” fully anti-clockwise until it stops.
