OWNER’S MANUAL SERVICING Should your VCR become inoperative, do not try to correct the problem by yourself. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Turn off, unplug the power plug, and take the unit to our Authorized Service Center. Please read before using this equipment.

PICTURE SEARCH If you want to skip or repeat a scene during playback, press the F .FWD or the REW button. ¡ Press it again and the DVD/VCR will now search at super high speed. (in the LP/SLP modes only). INDEX SEARCH The index signal is recorded on the tape automatically when the recording is started.
– 20 – EN 1L25 RECORDING FUNCTION It may be UNLA WFUL to record copyrighted materi- al without the consent of the copyright owner . Accidental Erasure Pr evention T o prevent accidental recording on a recorded cassette, remove its record safety tab.
– 21 – EN 1L25 HINTS FOR TIMER RECORDING ¡ If there is a power failure or the DVD/VCR is unplugged for more than 30 seconds, the clock set- ting and all timer settings will be lost. ¡ If a tape ends during TIMER RECORDING, the VCR will stop, eject the tape, and switch to the DVD mode automatically as the TIMER SET light blinks.

– 23 – EN 1L25 PLA YING A DVD VIDEO, A VIDEO CD, OR AN AUDIO CD Getting started T urn on the power of the TV , amplifier and any other components which are connected to the DVD/VCR. (Change the input system to suite the DVD/VCR, and check that the sound volume is correct).
1 Press the ST OP button during pla yback. ¡ Playback will stop, and then appear the resuming message at the center . 2 Press the PLA Y button. Playback will start from the point where the pre vious playbac k session was stopped. Note ¡ The resume function can be reset by pressing the STOP button twice or by opening the disc loading tray .
1 Press the FWD g or the REV h button during playbac k. ¡ For DVDs, pressing the FWD g or REV h but- ton cycles the playback speed in the following steps: × 2, × 8, × 30, × 60 (VCDs: × 2, × 8, × 30). In the case of DVDs and VCDs, the sound will mute.
1 Press the SEARCH MODE button twice dur- ing playbac k or while paused. 2 Press the Number buttons to set the desired time count. ¡ Example: 1 hour , 23 minutes and 30 seconds 1 → 2 → 3 → 3 → 0 VCD (without PBC function) CD DVD – 26 – EN 1L25 ST AR TING FROM A DESIRED TIME COUNT By using only the Number buttons.
Y ou can define a section to be played back repeatedly . 1 Press the A-B REPEA T button during playbac k. ¡ The starting point (A) will then be selected. 2 Press the A-B REPEA T button again at the end point (B) of the desired section. ¡ The selected section will be played back repeatedly .

1 Insert an MP3 file recorded on disc. ¡ The MP3 menu screen is displayed. ¡ Folders are referred to as “ Albums ” and files are referred to as “ T racks ” .

– 32 – EN 1L25 CHANGING THE CAMERA ANGLE (Multi-Angle Pictures) The DVD/VCR has a function which allows you to select the desired camera angle. 1 Press the ANGLE button during pla yback. ¡ If the disc contains sequences recorded from differ- ent camera angles, the angle icon ( ) will appear at the top-right of the screen.

TIME: Elapsed time of the current title and remaining time of the current title. Y ou can check the information regarding the disc by pressing the DISPLA Y button on the remote control.
