8 INSTALLATION I NITIAL CONTENT CHECK After opening the packaging, i t is first necessary to check the contents. The package must contain: UPS Schuko power cable - IEC 10A 2 IEC 10A connection cables .
9 USE C ONNECTIONS AND SWITCHING ON FOR THE FIRST TIME 1) Confirm that the installation upstream of the UPS is adequa tely protected against ov erloads and short ci rcuits. It is recommended that the rating of this protection is eith er 10A or 16A type B or C (depending on the UPS po wer rating), always check prior to connection.
10 D ISPLAY PANEL MESSAGES This chapter describes, in detail, the vari ous information that can be displayed on th e LCD. 11 M EASUREMENT DISPLAY AREA The front panel can be used to display im portant UPS oper ating information. When the UPS is switched-on, the dis play shows the main voltage value. To display a different measur ement, press the “SEL” bu tton repeatedly until the des ired measurement a ppears.
12 C ONFIGURING THE OPERATING MODE The area of the display sh own in the figure displ ays the active operatin g mode and allo ws the user to choos e other modes dir ectly from the display panel. HOW TO PROCEED: • To access the configuration area, hold down the “SEL” button for at least 3 seconds.
13 S OFTWARE M ONITORING AND CONTROL SOFTWARE The PowerShield 3 software guarantees effective, intuitive UPS ma nagem ent, displaying all th e most important information such as input voltage, appli ed load and battery capacit y.
14 UPS CONFIGURATION The table below illustrat es all the possi ble configuratio ns available to the user in orde r to best adapt the UPS for individual requirements.

16 B ATTERY PACK REPLACEMENT The UPS is also equippe d with a dedicated batter y pack that allows for easy re placement of batteries ( hot swap ) in complete safety, than ks to the protected connection system.

18 TROUBLESHOOTING Irregular UPS operation is not al ways an indication of a fault, and can be due to minor or eas y-to-resolve issues It is therefore advisable to con sult the table below as it cont ains information which is usef ul for solving the most common UPS problems.
19 PROBLEM POSSIBLE CA USE SOLUTION THE BUZZER SOUNDS CONTINUOUSLY AND THE DISPLAY SHOWS ONE OF THE FOLLOWING CODES: A54, F50, F51, F52, L50, L51, L52 THE LOAD APPLIED TO THE UPS IS TOO HIGH Reduce the load to within the threshold of 100% ( or user threshold in the case of code A54 ).
20 A LARM CODES Using a sophisticated s elf-diagnosis system, the UPS is abl e to check its o wn status for any anomalies and/or faults which may occur during norm al operation and display them on the display panel. If there is a problem, the UPS signal s the event by showing the code and the type of active alarm on the display (FAULT and/or LOCK).
