3 About this microwave oven Microwaves are high-frequency el ectromagnetic waves similar to radio waves. W hil e radio waves may vary in length from one metre to many kilometres , microwaves are very sh ort (less tha n 12.5 centimetres). Microwaves do not make any heat them selves b ut only cause water molecules in food to vibr ate.
Safety instructions Warning: this oven must be positioned so that the plug is accessibl e and the plug socket is within easy reach of the power cord. W arning: when the appliance is operated in the combination, convection or grill mode, children should only use the oven under adult s upervision due to the temperatures generated.
5 ¾ Always test the temperature of cooked food, never eat or drink food or li quid straight from the oven, allow it to stand for a few minute s and stir to distribute the heat evenly . ¾ Microwave heating of beverages can result del ayed eruptive boiling, therefore care must be taken when handling the container.

7 Control panel Display Cooking time, power , action indicator and clock time are displayed. Power Level Press this button a number of ti mes to set a microwave cooking power level. Grill/Combination Press this button to set a grill or combination cooking program Convection Press this button to cook using the convection oven function.
8 Operating instructions Connect the main plug into a sui table 13amp mains socket, make sure the voltage is the same as on the rating l abel (do not use ext ension cables or mains adaptors).
9 M ICROW A VE COOKING T o cook with microwave power alone, pr ess the POWER LEVEL button a number of times to select a cooking power level, and then turn the MENU/TIME dial clockwise to set t h e desired cooking time. Pr ess th e ST ART/QUICK START button t o st ar t c oo kin g.
10 C OMBINA TION COOKING The oven has the ability to combine the microwave and t h e grill. Ther e a re 2 combination settings ‘Co-1’ and ‘Co-2’. ¾ Combinatio n 1 has 30% microwave cooking time and 70% grillin g time and is useful for foods such as potatoes, fish and thicker cuts of meat.
11 MICROWAVE AND CONVECTION COOKING This oven has 4 pre-programmed se ttings that make it easy to cook with both convection heat (110°C, 140°C, 170°C, 200°C) and microwave combined .
12 A UTO MENUS There are 9 auto menus you can use for easy cooking. To access the menus, turn the MENU/TIME dial anti clockwise. For guide lines, please see the auto menu chart below. 1. Place food in a container su ited to the cooking process (see page 14) and put it into the oven.
13 CHILD SAFETY LOCK This function is to help prevent small children from using the microwave oven. The CHILD LOCK indicator will s how up on displa y screen, and the oven cannot be operated while the CHILD LOCK is set. ¾ T o set the CHILD LOCK: Press and hold t he ST OP/CANCEL button for 3 seconds, a bleep sounds and lock indicator lights.
14 Proble m solving The microwave oven may c ause interference to your radio, TV or similar equipment. If it does, you can get rid of the i nterference b y moving the radio, TV or eq uipment as far away from yo ur microwave oven as possible.
