Disconnecting the tool prevents accidental starting that could cause serious injury.

Page 11 OPERA TION Fig. 8 PLANING See Figure 7. Follow these steps to plane. 1. Clamp the work securely. 2. Adjust the planing depth. Refer to “Adjusting the Plan- ing Depth” earlier in this manual. 3. Hold the front handle with your left hand and the rear handle with your right hand.
Page 12 Fig. 9 Fig. 10 OPERA TION PLANING EDGES AND MAKING RABBET CUTS The planer comes with an adjustable edge guide for precision edge planing and rabbet cutting. Attach the edge guide to either side of the planer for planing edges and attach the edge guide to the left side for making rabbet cuts.

Page 14 MAINTENANCE REPLACING BLADES See Figures 13, 14 and 15. The blades in y our planer are rev ersible. Therefore , you can reverse the blades when one edge becomes dull. Always replace or reverse blades in pairs. Do not attempt to sharpen blades.
