E- 7 Inserting the Remote Control Batteries Remove the battery cover in the rear of the remote control by pushing it with your thumb. Insert two batteries, respecting the polarities as indicated by the + and - symbols. 1 2 Close the cover by sliding it back in its place.
G etting Start The User’ s Manual provides you with valuable information about your air conditioner . Please read this manual carefully before using the air conditioner . It will help you take full advantage of the unit's features. Y ou have already seen the basic description of the unit on pages from 4 to 6.
Selecting the Auto Mode Y ou can select the Auto mode if you want to cool your room automatically . Y ou can adjust the temperature in this mode. 1 Press the button on the remote control until is displayed. Result : ◆ The indoor unit beeps each time you press the button.
Selecting the Cool Mode Y ou can select the Cool mode if you want to cool your room. Y ou can adjust the temperature and the fan speed when cooling. E- 10 T o control the airflow direction, refer to pages 18 and 19. 5 Press the button on the remote control until is displayed.

E- 12 Selecting the Fan Mode Y ou can select the Fan mode if you want to ventilate your room. It helps to refresh the air in your room. Y ou can adjust the fan speed in this mode. 1 If necessary , press the (On / Off) button. Result : ◆ The operation indicator on the indoor unit lights up.
E- 13 Selecting the T urbo Function Y ou can select the T urbo Function if you want to cool your room in the fastest way . After the 30 - minute operation with the maximum setting, it returns to the previous setting. Press the button. Result : ◆ The temperature and fan settings are adjusted automatically .
E- 14 Selecting the Energy Saving Function Y ou can select the Energy Saving Function to save energy when cooling. The temperature range decreases in order to perform this function. T o control the airflow direction, refer to pages 18 and 19. Press the button to select the fan speed until the required setting is displayed.
E- 15 Selecting the Auto Cleaning Function Y ou can select the Auto Cleaning Function if you want to sterilize the air conditioner or remove mold. Even when the air conditioner is turned off, you can set this function. 2 Press the button. Result : ◆ The indicator on the indoor unit lights up and the Auto Cleaning function is set.
E- 16 Selecting the Sound On / Off Function Y ou can turn on or off the sound of the air conditioner with the remote control. 1 Press the button to turn off the sound.
E- 17 Selecting the Anions Function The air conditioner can generate anions with an ionizer in the indoor unit. Since it is an additional function, you can select it in any mode, even when the air conditioner is turned off. 1 Press the button. Result : ◆ The air conditioner generates anions.
E- 18 Adjusting the Airflow Direction V ertically Press the button until the required direction is set. Result : The outer blade is adjusted vertically . Y ou can adjust the airflow direction vertically . The outer airflow blade moves up and down to increase the efficiency of the cooling operation.
E- 19 Adjusting the Airflow Direction Horizontally Y ou can adjust the airflow direction horizontally manually . The inner blades with small fins moves the air in the required direction.
E- 20 Setting the On T imer If you press the button, both the On T imer and the Off T imer are canceled. N N N N o o o o t t t t e e e e Y ou can set the On T imer to turn on the air conditioner automatically at the appointed time. Y ou can set the time from 30 minutes to 24 hours.
E- 21 Setting the Off Timer Y ou can set the Off T imer to turn off the air conditioner automatically at the appointed time. Y ou can set the time from 30 minutes to 24 hours. Press the button until the required time is displayed to set the Off Timer .
E- 22 Setting the Sleep Timer Y ou can set the Sleep T imer to turn off the air conditioner automatically while you are sleeping. The air conditioner stops operating 6 hours after you set the Sleep T imer . Cooling The set temperature is increased by 1°C every hour .
E- 23 Operating Recommendations When you use your air conditioner , it is recommended to read the following : T opic Recommendation Power failure If power failure occurs when the air conditioner is operating, the air conditioner turns off. When the power returns, the air conditioner starts up again automatically .
E- 24 T emperature and Humidity Ranges If you check the following tables, you can use your air conditioner mor e efficiently . If the air conditioner is used at... Then... High temperatures The air conditioner may stop operating for the reason of protection.
Operating Y our Air Conditioner Without the Remote Control Y ou can operate your air conditioner directly without the remote control. E- 25 Open the front grille. T o turn the air conditioner off, press the On/Off button again. 1 T o turn the air conditioner on, press the On/Off button in the front grille of the indoor unit.
