The bottom line of the displa y indic ates th eir cu rrent role. Press the left soft key to access Menu mode. Press the right soft key to access th e Phonebook menu.

Changing the text input mode The text input mode indicator displays when the cursor is in a text field.

Call functio ns 21 Making a call from Phon ebook Once you have stored a number in Phonebook, you can dial the number by selecting it from Phonebook. p. 25 Y ou can also use the speed dia l feature to assign your most frequently called numbers to specific number keys .
22 Call functions Using the headset Use the headset to m a ke or answer calls without holding the pho ne. Connect the he adset to the j ack on the righ t side of the phone. The buttons on the heads et work as listed below: Options during a call Y ou can access a number of functions during a ca ll.

24 Call functions Sending a sequence of DTMF tones Dual tone multi-frequency (DTMF) tones are the tones used in phones for tone diall ing. Y ou can send DTMF tones as a group after entering the entire number you need to send or retrieving a number from Phonebook.

Menu functions Call records (Menu 2) 29 Call records (Menu 2) Use this menu to view the calls you have dialled, received, or missed, the length of your calls, and the cost of your calls. T o access this m enu, press < Menu > in Idle mode and select Call records .
30 Menu functions • Reset timers : reset the call timers . Y ou need to enter the phone password. Call costs (Menu 2.6) This network feature displays the cost of calls. This menu is available only if your SIM card supports this feature. N ote that this is not inte nded to be used for billing purposes.
