2 Section 1: Getting Star ted Under standing this User Manual The sections of this manual generally f ollo w the fea tures of your device. A robust index for fe atures beg ins on page 41. Also included is important safety info rmation, beg inning on page 29, that you should know before using your device.
Getting Started 3 Note: Y our 4G L TE SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) Card is a small rectangular plastic card that stores your phone number and important information about your wireless ser vice. Cautio n!: Do not bend or scratch your 4G L TE SIM Card.
4 Batter y Y our device is powered by a rechargeable, standard Li-Ion battery . A Wa ll/USB Charger (Cha rging Head and USB cable) are included with the device, for charging the battery . Note: The batter y comes partially charged. Y ou must fully charge the batter y before using your device for the first time.
Getting Started 5 Ins tal lin g the Batte r y Remove the cover by placing your fingernail in the opening and firmly pop the cover from the devi ce (1 and 2). Insert the battery into the phone housing, align bo th sets of gold contacts and press down (3 and 4).
6 2. Insert the USB cable into the Charger/Accessory P ort. 3. Plug the cha rging head into a st andard AC power outlet . Warning!: Please only use an approved charging accessor y to charge your device.
Getting Started 7 Resett ing Y o ur Device Resetting your device restores all fac tory de faults. Y ou may need to reset your device if you cannot connec t device(s) to your Samsung 4G L TE Mo bile Hotspot. 䊳 Remove the batter y cove r , press and hold the Reset/WPS key on the lef t side of the de vice for 10 seconds.

Connecting Y our Device 11 Section 3: Connecting Y our De vice With your new mobile hotspot and your computer , a wireless Internet conn ection can alwa ys be at y our fingertips.
12 1. Use your normal Wi-Fi application on your mobile device (e.g. laptop, tablet, smart phone, etc) to establish a connection to your mobile hotspot. 2. Look for t he network(SSI D) named “ Ve r i z o n SC H - L C1 1 XXXX secure. ” The XXXX is unique to yo ur device following the network (SSID) name displ ayed.
Connecting Y our Device 13 4. The Wi-Fi LED on LC11 will blink green. After a mo ment, you shoul d see activi ty on the W i-Fi enabled device showing connection state.
14 Section 4: Admin P age While using your Samsung LC11, configure the modem using the Web user interface, enter http://192.168.1.1. in your web browser , on you laptop or ta blet to open the Admin Page. Enter yo ur password and click or touch Apply .
Admin Page 15 Buttons • Connect/Disconnect : The button will say Connec t if a connection to the mobile data network is establis hed, or Disc onnect if the mobile data network is available but no connection currently exis ts. For other situations, this button will be grayed out.
16 Section 5: Netw or k LAN A Local Area Network (LAN) is a gro up of computers and associated devices th at share a common co mm unications line or wireless link inside a network.
Network 17 TCP / I P The LC11 is shipped preconfigured to use private IP addresses on the W AN side, and to act as a DHCP server . The rout er's default WAN IP configuration is: – WAN I P a d dr e s s : 192.16 8.1.1 – Subnet mask : 255.255 .255.
18 Wi - F i Wi-Fi is a branded standard for wireless connecting elect ronic devices. A Wi-Fi dev ice, such as a personal comput er , video game console, smartphone , or digita l audio player ca n connect to the Internet via a wireless network acce ss point.
Network 19 • Broadcast Channel : Click or touch Auto for the LC11 to automatically choose the best available channel. Click or touch the drop down menu to select a specific channel. Buttons • Apply : Click or touch button to update the profile. • Revert : Click or touch button to returns changed profile settings to the previous settings.
20 Section 6: Securing Y our De vice This section outlines how to enab le s ecurity features for your device. Security Select the security tab to se t your security parameter . Se t Adm in istra tio n P ass w ord This password is used to protec t the configuration settings on this device.
Securing Y our Device 21 MAC Filtering MAC Fi ltering prevents unknown Wi-F i clients from using your access point. A MAC address is a low-leve l network ID which is unique to a device.
22 P or t Filtering Po rt Fi ltering blo cks outgo ing Inte rnet traffi c. When enabl ed, only traffic from sel ected applica tions can acce ss the Internet. T raffic is identified by port number . Note: DNS should always be enabled when using Port F iltering.
Securing Y our Device 23 Buttons • Hide : Click this w hen you are finished defining the ports for the current application. When this link is c licked, port settings for the current application are stored in your Browser , but they are not saved to this device until you c lick the Apply button.
24 Section 7: Configuring Y our Device Settings These rarely-use d settings are provided to deal with specia l circumstances. 3G/4G L TE Ne tw or k • Auto-connect enable : If enabled, the 3G/4G L TE Mobile Hotspot will connect to the network w henever it is powered up.
Configurin g Y our Device 25 System • System Log enable (see Diagnostic screen) : The System log feature is used for troubleshooting. In normal o peration, it should be disabled.The system log can be viewed on the Diagnostics screen. • Language : Choose a language to be used in this Web-based administration interface.
26 – Modem • ESN: The Elect roni c Serial Number ( ESN) is used by t he mobi le dat a networ k to ident ify this par ticul ar mode m. • MDN: The Mobil e Dir ector y Nu mber (MDN) is use d by the mobi le data ne twork to iden tify this particu lar data s ervice.

This information is mostly useful for troubleshooting. • System Log Button : Click or touch this button to vie w the System Log in the panel beside this button.

Install the appli cation on a PC on your l ocal WLAN. 2. Ensure the PC is connected to this device, and record the PC's IP address for the Wi-F i interface.
