7 Ge t s t ar t e d First st eps to operati ng your phone SIM card information When you subscribe to a cellular network, you receive a plug-in SIM (Subscriber Identity Modul e) card loaded wit h your subscription details, such as yo ur PIN, and available optional services.
G et starte d 8 Low battery indicator When the battery is low: • a warning tone sounds, • the low battery message displays, and • the empty battery icon blinks. If the battery lev el becomes t oo low , the phone automatically tur ns off . Recharge your ba tte ry .
Ge t s t a r te d 9 Offline mode Y ou can switch the phone to Offline mode, in which the phone functions requiring network connection are deactivated. This mode is helpful when you want to use your phone in a place where y ou are not allowed to use mobile devices, such as in an airplane and at a hospital.

Step outside the phone 20 Send messages 1. In Idle mode, press < Menu > and select Phonebook → My namecard . 2. Specify your contact inform ation. 3. Press < Save > to save the name card. 4. T o send the name card, press < Option s > and select Send via → a sending method.

The phone searches for the contact nam es starting with the letters label led on any of the k eys you pressed. 1. In Idle m ode, press the number keys containing the letter s you want.

50 Men u f un c t i o ns Browser (Menu 4) The Wireless Application Protocol (W AP) browser on your phone allows you to access the wirele ss web. From the wirele ss web, you can access up-to-date information and a wide variety of media c ontent, such as games, wallpapers, ringtones, and music files.
