Getting Started 9 SIM Card Information 1. Lift up the memor y card cover , located on the right side of the phone as shown. Make sure the mi croSD’ s gold contact pins face downward. 2. The following is the incorrect meth od for inserting the Memory Card.

Charging a Batter y Y our phone is powered by a r echargeable Li -ion ba ttery. Use the travel adaptor to charge the battery , and use only Sam sung approved batteries and chargers.
Getting Started 11 SIM Card Information 1. Plug the connector of the tra vel adaptor in to the jack on the side of the phone. Warning!: The previ ous illustra tion displays th e incorrect method for connecting the charger . If attempted, damage to the ac cessory port will occur therefore voiding the phone’s warranty .
12 Low Batter y I ndicator When the battery is weak an d only a few minutes of talk time remain, a warning tone sounds, the “Low battery” message repeats at regular intervals on the display , and the empty ba ttery icon blinks. The backlight turns off to conser ve the remaining battery power .

When the Idle mode displays, press the Phonebook (Right) soft key . 2. Enter the first few letters of the name in the Contacts field.
