6 Section 1 Activ ating Y our Phone When you subscribe to a cellular network, you are pr ovided with a plug-in SIM card loaded with your subscripti on details, such as your PIN, any optional services available, and many others.
Section 1: Getting Started 7 Activating Y our Phone Section 1 4. Slide the SIM card in to the SI M card socket so that the card locks into place. Make sure the gold contacts of the card face into the phone.

Low Battery Indicator When the battery is weak and only a few minutes o f talk time remain, a warning tone sounds and the “Battery low” message r epeats at regular intervals on the displa y .

46 Section 5 Changing the T ext Input Mode When using yo ur phone, you wi ll often need to enter text, such as when stori ng a name in your Phonebook, cr eating your personal gr eeting or scheduling e vents on your calendar . Y ou can enter alphan umeric characters by using your phone’s keypad.

Y ou can also s ave it to your SIM car d or you can set your de fault so that whenever a new phonebook entry is crea ted, you will be prompted to choose between Phone or SIM card .

Section 7: Messages 91 Delete all Section 7 Delete all This menu allows you to delete al l of the messages in each message box. Or , you can al so delete al l of your messages in all message boxes at one time. Important ! Once messages have been deleted, they cannot be recovered.

Section 8 96 Time & Date Settings This menu allows you to chan ge the current time and date displayed. The following options ar e available: • Set time: allows you to change th e hour and minute. • AM/PM: allows you to set either AM or PM. • T ime form at: allows you to select whether your time is displayed in 12 hour or 24 hour format.
