3 1. Network Scanner Outline By installing the printer/sc anner controller, th e machine can be used as a net- work scanner . As a network scanner, the machin e can sen d e-mail, operate as a network deliv- ery scanner, store scan data in the Document Server, and operate as a network TWAIN sc anner.
Network Scanner 4 1 Network De liver y Scann er The machine is used as a delivery scanner with ScanRouter V2 Lite/Profession- al. The data from the originals scanned by the machine is s tored in the delivery server and deli vered to the folders of client computers on the same network.

79 8. Appendix Relationship between Resolution and Data Size Resolution and sca n area are inversely related. The h ig her the resolution is set, the smaller the area that can be scanned. Converse ly , the larger the scan area, the lower the resolution that can be set.

Troubleshooting 87 8 Memory is full. Scanning has been c ancelled. Press [Send] to send the s canned data or press [Cance l] to de- lete. Because there is not enough fr ee hard disk space in the machine for delivery or e-mail, only some of the pages c ould be scanned.
Appendix 88 8 Sender's name is not selected. Sending E-mail has been cancelled. A sender's name should be specified before sending e-mail. Send e-mail after specifying the s ender 's name. Sending the data has been ca nc elled due to containing some deleted file(s).
Troubleshooting 89 8 Sending the data t o the delivery server ha s failed. The data will be resent la ter. While a file was being sent to the de- livery server, a network error oc- curred and the file could not be sent correctly. Wait until delivery is re- tried automatically after the prese t interval.
