6 Handling discs Removing the Disc from its case Be sure to hold the edge of disc. Do not touch the surface of the disc. Pick up the disc gently from the case. • Do not scratch the disc. • Do not get dirt on the surface of the disc. • Do not stick a label or adhesive tape on the disc.

It allows parents to select programs judged suitable for child viewing while blocking ones judged not suitable.

30 Playback procedure Place the disc in the disc slot with the label side facing forward. (If the disc has a label.) Hold the disc without touching its surface, align it with the guides, and place it in position. On the screen, “ ” changes to “Reading” and then playback will commence.

33 Program playback (only CD) You can arrange the order of tracks on the disc. Press PLAY MODE in the stop mode. Press / to select “Play Mode”, then press ENTER to select “Program”. Example: In case you wish to program in order of 7, 3, 11: Enter as 7 , 3 , 11 .
34 Changing soundtrack language You can select the language when you play a multilingual disc. Press AUDIO during playback. The current soundtrack language will appear. Press AUDIO repeatedly until the desired language is selected. The on-screen display will disappear after a few seconds.
35 This TV/DVD can playback the MP3/WMA/JPEG-data which has been recorded on CD-R or CD-RW. To produce the MP3/WMA/JPEG-data, you need a Windows-PC with CD-R/RW drive and a MP3/WMA/JPEG- encoding Software (not supplied). The Apple-HFS-System cannot be played.
36 MP3/WMA/JPEG CD playback MP3/WMA CD playback Load a disc on which MP3 or WMA fi les have been recorded in the disc slot. “Reading” will appear on the TV screen. Reading time will depend on the number of fi les on the disc. A fi le menu screen will appear on the TV screen.

39 Function setup Setting the language You can select the language of the disc menu messages of DVDs. The same language can always be selected even if you replace the disc or turn the power off. Press SETUP and the SETUP screen displays. Press W / X to select (LANGUAGE), then press T or ENTER .
40 Setting on screen display On screen display can be switched on or off when you press the DISPLAY button. Press SETUP and the SETUP screen displays. Press / to select (PICTURE), then press or ENTER . Press / to select “Display”.
