6 R- 520LK R-520L W TOUCH CONTR OL P ANEL GENERAL INFORMA TION GROUNDING INSTR UCTIONS This ov en is equipped with a three prong g rounding plug. It must be plugged into a wall receptacle that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with the National Electrical Code and local codes and ordinances.

8 R- 520LK R-520L W OPERA TION DESCRIPTION OF OPERA TING SEQUENCE The f ollowing is a descr iption of component functions dur- ing ov en operation. OFF CONDITION Closing the door activ ates the door sensing switch and pri- mar y interlock switch. (In this condition, the monitor s witch contacts are opened.
9 R- 520LK R-520L W SENSOR COOKING CONDITION Using the SENSOR function, food is cook ed without figur- ing time, power le vel or quantity . When the oven senses enough steam from the food, it rela ys the inf or mation to its microprocessor which will calculate the remaining cooking time and pow er lev el needed f or best results.

When the open b utton is pushed, the open button pushes up the switch le ver , and then the s witch le ver pushes up the latch head.

17 R- 520LK R-520L W TEST PROCEDURES PROCEDURE LETTER COMPONENT TEST Therefore, unlike con ventional micro wave ovens, proper maintenance cannot be performed with only a v oltmeter and ohmmeter .
18 R- 520LK R-520L W 2. Control Unit The f ollowing symptoms indicate a defectiv e control unit. 2-1 In connection with pads . a) When touching the pads, a cer tain group of pads do not produce a signal. b) When touching the pads, no pads produce a signal.
19 R- 520LK R-520L W W ARNING : The o ven should be fully assemb led before f ollowing procedure . (1) Open the door . (2) Place one cup of water in the center of the turntable tra y in the ov en cavity (3) T ouch the " Defrost " pad once. (4) Press "2", then press "5".

(2) Room temperature should not e xceed 95½F (35½C). (3) The unit should not be installed in an y area where heat and steam are generated.
22 R- 520LK R-520L W If new sensor dose not oper ate proper ly , the problem is with the control unit, and ref er to explanation belo w . CHECKING CONTROL UNIT (1) Disconnect the power supply cord, and then remo ve outer case. (2) Open the door and bloc k it open.
23 R- 520LK R-520L W 3) Po wer Source Cir cuit This circuit generates voltages necessar y in the control unit from the A C line voltage. In addition, the synchronizing signal is av ailable in order to compose a basic standard time in the clock circuit.
