9/22/2004 3 INTRODUCTION Congratulations on your purchase of the Shoprider® scooter. This sc ooter incorporates the latest innovative designs patented and only available on a Shoprider® sc ooter. This scooter can be used in confined spaces both indoors and out.

9/22/2004 5 SAFETY ADVICE • Do not carry passengers. • Do not exceed inclines ov er 8 degrees (14% grade). • Do not turn on steep inclines. • Do not turn suddenly at high speeds. • Do not get on or off the scooter unless the brake is on and the scooter is switched off.
9/22/2004 6 EMI Warning Shoprider® scooters may be susceptible to electr omagnetic interference (EMI), which is a kind of interfering electrom agnetic energy (EM) em itted from sources such as radio stations, TV stations, amateur radio (HAM) transm itters, two-way radio, and cellular phones.
9/22/2004 7 ADJUSTMENTS Tiller Angle Adjustment (For XtraLite 4 & Sunrunner S ONLY) (Fig. 5) On the left hand side at the base of the tiller is a red lever. Push the lever in to release the pin and select the required tiller angle. Refit the pin into one of the five location holes.

9/22/2004 9 SCOOTER TILLER CONTROLS (FIG. 13) Speed Controls The speed control allows you to set a speed between 1 (minim um) and 10 (maximum ). Battery Level Indicator/Gauge The number of LED bars lit/where th e needle sits, shows the amount of charge left in your batteries.
9/22/2004 10 FREE WHEEL OPERATION (FIG. 14) The free wheel release lever (red handle) is located next to the right rear wheel (Fig. 14). To disengage the motor, lift up the le ver (the scooter can now be pushe d). To re-engage the motor push down on the lever.
9/22/2004 11 Steering Steering the scooter is light and easy. Ensure when starting off you give a wide clearance when turning so that the rear wheel s clear any obstacle that you ar e passing. When steering through limited spaces such as a doorway or when turnin g around, turn the tiller ha ndles where you want to go and apply power gently.

9/22/2004 13 Dismantling 1. Remove baskets. 2. Fold down the back of the seat. 3. For Sunrunner S: pull up on the red lever under the seat and at the same time lift and twist the seat off. For XtraLite 3; XtraLite 4; Scoot ie: unscrew the tightening bolt be low the seat.
