18 DHCP Serve r The LAN tab g ives you the opportunit y to chan ge the IP s ettings of the WLR- 2001/WLR3 001 . Click <Ap ply> at the b ottom of this scree n to save any changes. IP address 1 92.1 68.0. 1. It is the router’s LAN IP address (Your LAN cli ents default gateway IP a ddress).

21 Internet Status This page di sp lays w hether the WAN p ort is c onnecte d to a Cable/DSL connecti on. It also disp lays the ro uter’s WAN IP address, S ub net Ma sk, and ISP Gateway as w el l as MAC address, the Primary DNS . Press R enew butto n to renew your WAN I P address.
22 DHCP Client Statu s DHCP This page shows all DHCP cli ents (LAN PCs) currently c onnected to your network. T he ta ble shows t he ass igned IP ad dress, MA C a ddress an d ex piration time for each DHCP lea sed cli ent. Use the Refr esh button to updat e th e avail abl e informatio n.
23 WLR-2001/WLR3001 Log View the op eration log of the WLR-2001/WL R3001 . T his page shows the current system log of the Broadband ro uter. It displays any event occ urred after system start up.

27 11 Wireless Set tings You can set parameters that are use d f or the wire less station s to connect to this router. The parameters incl ude Mod e, ESSID, Channel Number and Associate d Cli ent. Wireles s Function Enable or Disa ble W irel ess funct ion here.
28 Basic Settings Mode Allo ws you t o set the A P to AP or WDS m ode. Band Allows you to s et the AP fi xed at 8 02.1 1b or 802.11 g mo de. Y ou can also sel ect B+G mode to al low 802 11b a nd 802 .11g cli ents at the same tim e. SSID This is the na me of t he wir eless s i gnal wh ich is broadcasted.
29 A d vanced This tab a llow s yo u to set the advance d wirele ss option s. The o ptions i ncluded are, Fragment Thresho ld, RTS Thresh old, Beacon Interval, and Preamble Type. You should not c hange these p arameters un less y ou know w hat effect the changes wi ll have o n the router.
30 Channel Bandwidth is the range of fre quenci es that w ill be used. Preamble Type The “Long Preamble” can provi de better wirel ess LAN compatib il ity whil e the “Short Preamble” can provid e better wireless LAN performance. CTS Protection: It is recommended to enable the protection mechanism.
31 Security This A ccess P oint p rovi des com plete w irel ess LA N security f unct ions, i ncl uded are WEP, IEE E 802.1 1x, I EEE 802. 11x with WEP, WPA wi th pre-shared key and WPA with RADIUS . With th ese security functi ons, you can prevent your wirel ess LAN from il lega l acc ess.
32 WEP When you select 64-bit or 128- bit W EP key, y ou have to enter WEP keys to encrypt data. You can generate the key by yourself and enter it. You can enter four W EP keys and s ele ct one of them as a default key. Then t he router can receiv e any pack ets encrypted by one of the f our keys.
33 WP A P re-shared Key Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) is an advanc ed security standard. You can use a pre-shared key to authenticat e w ireless stations an d e ncrypt data d uring communicati on. It u ses TKIP or CCMP (AES) to chan ge the encryptio n key frequentl y.

40 A c cess You can restrict users from access ing certain Internet appli catio ns/services (e.g. I nternet w ebsit es, email, FTP etc .), Ac cess Control al l ows users to defi ne the traff ic type permitte d in yo ur LAN. You can control whi ch PC cl i ent can have access to t hese s ervices.
41 Filter client PC by MAC Check “E nable MAC F i lteri ng” to enable MAC Filteri ng. Add PC Fi ll i n “Cli ent PC MAC Address” and “C omment” of the PC that is allowe d to access the Internet, and then cl ick “Ad d”.
