3 T ransporter Owner’ s Guide SLIM DEVICES Before Y ou Begin If you already have a wireless or ethernet network and a computer to use as a server , setting up T ransporter and SlimServer takes just a few minutes—all you need to get your music playing through T ransporter is in this owner’ s guide.
4 T ransporter Owner’ s Guide SLIM DEVICES Installing the SlimServer Software Installing on Windows 1. Download the SlimServer installer program to a location you can find again on your computer . Y our Desktop is a good choice. Note: T ransporter needs SlimServer version 6.
5 T ransporter Owner’ s Guide SLIM DEVICES Installing on Mac OS X 1. Save the .dmg file to your Desktop. Note: T ransporter needs SlimServer version 6.5 or greater to access the music you have on your local computer . If you already have SlimServer installed, you must update to version 6.
6 T ransporter Owner’ s Guide SLIM DEVICES Connecting T ransporter 1. Connect an output from the T ransporter to your stereo amplifier , preamp, or receiver with the appropriate interconnect. The most common connection uses the unbalanced analog output red and white RCA connectors to connect to a line-level input, such as a CD or T APE input.

8 T ransporter Owner’ s Guide SLIM DEVICES Configuring T ransporter The instructions below use the remote control to set up T ransporter . Y ou can also use the front panel controls. T o scroll up and down, turn the knob on the front panel. Pressing the center of the knob is equivalent to pressing the RIGHT arrow on the remote.

Enter the subnet mask for the network, the default gateway IP address, and the address of your DNS server , pressing the RIGHT arrow on the remote to move to each one.

Press POWER again to wake T ransporter . Press SLEEP to tell T ransporter to turn itself off at the end of the currently playing song.

Press LEFT to go out of the current list. Press RIGHT to go into the item or to display additional information about a song.
