Chapter 1 Overview About your SMAR T Document Camera 330 Y our SMART Document Camera 330 allows yo u to display 3D objects, pr inted documents a nd microscope slides on your computer , projector or television. Y ou can capture images and save th em to a SMART Note book™ collaborative lear ning software file or to an SD or SDHC memory card.

3 | CHAPTER 1 – OVERVIEW • SD Card view controls your document came ra from the camera’ s control panel and displays imag es from an SD or SDHC memo ry card on a connected projector or television. See Understanding Computer , Camera and SD Card views on page 14 for more information on these v iews.
4 | CHAPTER 1 – OVERVIEW Control panel Y ou can use the control panel to switch between Computer , Camera an d SD Card view , capture an image to an SD or SDHC memory card and adjust br ightness settings. Y o u can also use it to contr ol featur es and settings in the Came ra view or the SD Card view’s on-screen display menu.
5 | CHAPTER 1 – OVERVIEW Side connection panel The side connection p anel has a security lock slot, an SD or SDH C memory card slot, a USB-A connector , a switch for selec ting VGA, DVI-D or composite video output, and a switch to select either SXGA , WXGA, 720p or XGA resolution.

NOTE The Image Mask feature is display only . If you capture an image while the Image Mask is on, the image doesn’t include the Imag e Mask.

Chapter 7 T roubleshooting Document camera issues Use the following ta ble to troubleshoot issues with your documen t camera. Issue Solution No image displays or appears. • T urn of f your document camera (see pa ge 16). Securely connect all cables and connect the camera’ s AC adapter to a power outlet.
46 | CHAPTER 7 – TROUBLESHOOTING SD Card view issues The image is too dark. • Press the bright ness button s on your doc ument camera. • If the object is not well lit, turn on your document camera LED. • Adjust t he shutter sp eed. See page 27.
