7 ww w .smar tavi.com T o assign an output to an input, press SWIT CH. A blinking block cursor will appear . Use UP and DOWN t o selec t the input that you would like t o assign. Once the cursor is ov er the desired input por t, press ENTER to en ter editing mode.
8 ww w .smar tavi.com T o view the menu, press MENU . There ar e 6 menu options available: RS-232 Acknowledge - Sets the HDR8X8/HDR16X16 to send a conrmation that an RS-232 command has been receiv ed. RS-232 Checksum - Sets the HDR8X8/HDR16X16 to verify all RS-232 data for errors in transmission.

26 ww w .smar tavi.com Controlling the SMT CP-2 via HT TP Matrix Menu The matrix menu allows y ou to set the crosspoints for the matrix. Cr osspoints are used to route sig nals from the individual inputs to individual outputs. The output channels can only have one input, but each input can ha ve several outputs.
27 ww w .smar tavi.com Network Setting Menu The network setting menu allows y ou to assign a static IP address to the SM TCP -2. I t is recommended that you statically assign an IP addr ess to avoid any future conict or connectivity issues with DHCP .

T o use this func tion, use a telnet client such as Hyper terminal or Pu T T Y to connect to the IP address of the SM TCP-2.
