5 AXIS P5532/AXIS P5534 - Product Description Hardware overview Network connecto r - RJ-45 Ethernet connector. Supports High Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3at). Use the AXIS T8123 Midspan (included). Shielded cables sh ould be used to comply with EMC.
6 AXIS P5532/AXIS P5534 - Product Description SDHC Memory card sl ot - A standard or high capacity SD memory card (not included) can be used for local recording with removable storage. To insert and remove an SD card, the camera ’s to p cover mu st first be removed; for instruct ions ple ase refer to the Installation Guide.
7 AXIS P5532/AXIS P5534 - A ccessing the Camera Accessing the Camera To install the AXIS P5532/AXIS P5534 PTZ Dome Network Camera, refer to the Installation Guide supplied with your product. The network camera can be used with most operating systems and browsers.
8 AXIS P5532/AXIS P5534 - A ccessing the Camera Access from the Internet Once connected, the camera is accessible on your local network (LAN). To access the camera from the Internet you must configure your broadband router to allow incoming data t raffic to the camera.
9 AXIS P5532/AXIS P5534 - A ccessing the Camera The Live View page If your network camera has been customiz ed to meet specific requirements the bu ttons and other items described below may or may not be displayed on the Live View page. The following provides an overview of each available button.
10 AXIS P5532/AXIS P5534 - A ccessing the Camera AMC Audio controls AMC audio buttons control the speakers and microphone connected to the client computer. The buttons are only visi ble when audio is enabled. Pan/Tilt/Zoom controls The Live View page also displays Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) controls.
11 AXIS P5532/AXIS P5534 - Video and Audio Streams Video and Audio Streams The network camera provides se veral image and video stream formats. Your re quirements and the properties of your network will determine the type you use. The Live View page in the network camera provides access to H.
12 AXIS P5532/AXIS P5534 - Video and Audio Streams AXIS Media Control (AMC) AXIS Media Control (AMC) in Internet Explorer in Windows is the recommended method of accessing liv e video from the network camera. The AMC Control Panel can be used to configure various video and audio settings.
13 AXIS P5532/AXIS P5534 - Setup Tools Setup Tools AXIS P5532/AXIS P5534 can be configured by users with administr ator or operator rights. To access the product’s Setup tools, click Setup in the top right-hand corner o f the Live View page. • Administrators have unrestricted access to all settings.

Video Stream The video stream settings appear under four different tabs: •I m a g e • Audio • H.264 •M J P E G Preview For a preview of the image before saving, select the Video format and click Open.

16 AXIS P5532/AXIS P5534 - Video & Audio Stream Profiles There are four pre-programmed stream prof iles available for quick set-up. These setti ngs can be adjusted and new customized profiles can be created. Each profile has a descriptive name, describing its usage an d/or purpose.
17 AXIS P5532/AXIS P5534 - Video & Audio IR cut filter - Set the IR cut filter to Of f to allow the camera to “see” infrared light; it increases the light sensitivity, for example at night. The image is shown in black & white w hen the IR cut filter is off.
18 AXIS P5532/AXIS P5534 - Video & Audio Audio Settings This section describes ho w to configure the basic audio settings for the network ca mera. Th e audio functionality for each video stream is enabled under Video & Audio > Video Stream > Audio.
19 AXIS P5532/AXIS P5534 - Video & Audio Audio Output An external speaker can be connected to the Audio out connector provided by the multi-connector cable (not included), see page 41. If the sound from the speaker is too low or too high, adjust the outpu t gain for the active speaker attach ed to the network camera.
20 AXIS P5532/AXIS P5534 - Live View Config Live View Config Layout Stream Profile From the Stream Profile drop-down list, select the stream profile to be used for the Live Vie w page. Listed are the pre-programmed stream profiles as well as the ones created under Video & Audio > Stream Profiles .

23 AXIS P5532/AXIS P5534 - PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom ) PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) Preset Positions A preset position is a pre-defined camera view that can be used to quickly steer the camera to a specific location. From Preset Position Setup , use the Pan, Tilt and Zoom (PTZ) controls to steer the camera view to the required position.
24 AXIS P5532/AXIS P5534 - PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom ) Advanced Limits Define the pan, tilt, zoom and focus limits for the network came ra. Movements to the left and right, up and down, can be restricted to narrow the area under surveillance. The near focu s limit can be set to avoid focusing on objects too close to the camera.
25 AXIS P5532/AXIS P5534 - Events Events Pre-defined parameters, known as an event or Event Type can trigger certain actions in the camera. A common event type is an alarm that causes the camera to upload images. Many eve nt types use an Event Serve r , to receive uploaded images.
26 AXIS P5532/AXIS P5534 - Events Triggered Event A triggered event can be activated by: • Input ports • A manual trigger – using the manual trigger button on the Live View page or through the V.
27 AXIS P5532/AXIS P5534 - Events Notes: • Pre-trigger and post-trigger buffers will be lost if the connection to the event server fails. • The maximum length of the pre-/post-buffer depends on the video image size and selected frame rate.
28 AXIS P5532/AXIS P5534 - Events Motion Detection Motion detection is used to generate an alarm whenever moveme nt occurs (or st ops) in the video image. Up to 10 Include and Exclude windows can be configured: • Include windows target s pecific areas with in the whole video image.

It shows each recording's start time, length, the event type used to start the recording, and indicates if the recording is locked so that it can neither be deleted nor recorded over.
