7 English System upgrade You can expand your Aspire T650A system quickly and easily by ad ding component s. You can also upgr ade the compone nts of your Aspire T650A system. Opening the com puter Before removing any panels or covers , please make sure to shut off the computer and unplug the po wer cord from the outlet.
8 English Acer eRecovery Acer e Recover y is a to ol to qu ic kly backup and restore the system. Users can create and save a backup of the current system configuration to hard drive, CD, or DVD.
9 English Restore from backup Users can restore backup pr eviously created (as st ated in the Create backu p section) from hard drive, CD, o r DVD. 1 Boot to Wind ows XP. 2 Press < Alt >+< F10 > to open the Acer eRecovery utility. 3 Enter the pa ssword to proceed.

15 English Troubleshooting The following questions are possible situat ions th at may aris e during the use of your c omputer and each is followed by simple answers and solutions to th e situation. Q: I pressed the power switch but the system did not boot up.
16 English Q: No sound comes out from the spea kers. A: Check the following: • The volume may be muted. Look fo r the Vol ume i con on th e taskbar. If it is cross ed-out, cli ck on the ic on and desel ect the Mute option. Yo u can also press the volume cont rol/mut e knob on your USB keyboard to toggle the mute function.
