5 Section 1 - FA MILIA RIZA TION FIGURE 1.1 1.1 INTRODUCT ION This manual has been prepared f or the operator’s of the SNAPPER Rear Engine Rider. Its pur pose, aside f rom recom m ending standar d operating procedur es and routine servic e requirem ents, is to promote SAFET Y through the use of ac cepted operating pr actices.
6 Section 2 - OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS 2.1 PRE-START CHECK LIST Make the f ollowing check s and per for m the s ervice required bef ore each star t-up. 2.1.1. Check tires and add or release air as needed to bring press ure to 12 ps i in front and 12 ps i in rear tires.

ENGINE (ELECTRIC START) IMPO RTANT: W hen the ignition k ey is turned to “START ”, the engine will turn over , but will not star t unless the Clutc h/Brak e pedal is pres sed all the way down, the Blade Lever is in the “Off ” position (See Figure 2.

9 Section 2 - OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS WA RNING Once blade is dise ngaged, it should come to a complete stop in 3 seconds or less. If the blade continues to rotate afte r 3 seconds, the blade brake must be adjust ed.
