9 Section 2 - OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS 2.1 PRE-START CHECK LIST Make the f ollowing check s and perfor m the s ervice required bef ore each start- up. 2.1.1. Check tires and add or release air as needed to bring press ure to 12 PSI in front and 12 PSI in rear tires.

ENGINE (E LECTRIC START) IMPO RTANT: W hen the ignition key is turned to “START ”, the engine will turn over, but will not start unless the Clutc h/Brake pedal is pressed all the way down, the Blade Lever is in the “Off ” position (See Figure 2.

12 Section 2 - OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS WA RNING Once blade is dise ngaged, it should come to a complete stop in 3 seconds or less. If the blade continues to rotate afte r 3 seconds, the blade brake must be adjust ed.
13 Section 2 - OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS WA RNING DO NOT leave machine with engine running. Stop engine. Stop blade. Shift to neutral. Engage pa rking brake. Remove key. 2.4 S TOPPING - ENGINE, WHEEL DRIVE, BLA DE 2.4.1. ENGINE 1. Stop engine by turning k ey to the “OFF” position.

Engage park brak e by pushing clutch/br ake pedal “DOW N” and m oving the park brake latc h to the “ENGAGED” position. W hile holding the park brak e latch “ENGAG ED”, release clutc h/brake pedal to s et park brake.
