8 Section 2 - OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS 2.1 PR E-START CHECK LIST Make the following c hecks and perform the servic e required bef ore each start-up. 2.1.1. Check tires and add or r elease air as needed to bring pressure to 12 psi in fr ont and 12 psi in rear tires.

ENGINE (ELECTRIC START) IMPO RTANT: W hen the ignition k ey is turned to “START ”, the engine will turn over, but will not start unless the Clutc h/Brake pedal is pressed all the way down, the Blade Lever is in the “Off ” position (See Figure 2.

11 Section 2 - OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS WA RNING Once blade is dise ngaged, it should come to a complete stop in 3 seconds or less. If the blade continues to rotate afte r 3 seconds, the blade brake must be adjust ed.
12 Section 2 - OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS WA RNING DO NOT leave machine with the engine running. Stop engine. Stop blade . Shift to neutral. Engage parking brake. Remov e key. 2.4 STOPPING - ENGINE, WHEE L DRIVE, BLA DE 2.4.1. ENGINE 1. Stop engine by tur ning k ey to the “OFF ” position.

Engage park brak e by pushing clutch/brake pedal “DOW N” and m oving the park brake lever to the “ON” position. W hile holding the park brake lever “ON”, release clutch/brak e pedal to set park brak e.

16 Section 3 - MA INTENA NCE 3.2.8. LUBRICA T ION – GREA SE FITT INGS The f ollowing components on the Rear Engine Rider are equipped with grease fittings and require periodic lubrication. Apply General Purpose greas e (NLGI No.2) with a grease gun.
