9 Section 2 - OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS 2.1 PRE-ST A RT CHECKLIST Make the following c hecks and per form service as required bef ore each start-up. 2.1.1. Check tires and add air as needed to bring pressur e to 12 P.S.I. in front tires and 12 P.S.I. in rear tires .

Ref er to Section “ST ARTING ENGINE” . 3. Release c lutch/brake pedal. 4. Slowly shift speed contr ol lever forward for forward m otion or to the rear f or reverse m otion.

13 Section 2 - OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS 2.6. ROLLING TRACTOR WITH ENGINE OFF Rolling Hydro Models 1. W ith engine "OFF", m ove to rear of trac tor. 2. Pull the roll r elease control all the way out to disengage the hydro transmis sion. See Figure 2.

15 Section 3 - MA INTENA NCE 3.1 INTRODUCT ION To retain the quality of the Tr actor, use genuine SNAPPER replacem ent parts only. Contact a local SNAPPER dealer f or parts and servic e assistance. For the correc t part or inform ation for a particular Trac tor, alwa ys m e ntio n the model and ser ial number.
16 Section 3 - MA INTENA NCE 3.2.3. CHECK 33" DECK DRIVE BELT 1. W ith engine "OFF ", move blade engagem ent lever to "ON". 2. Measur e blade cable extension spr ing. Spring should extend 1" +/-1/8" f or proper belt tens ion.
17 Section 3 - MA INTENA NCE 3.3.4. TRACTOR LUBRICA T ION 1. Front Wheel Bearings Lubricate each f ront wheel bearing through the grease f itting on w heel hub. Using general purpose grease in a greas e gun, add grease until grease purges f rom bearing.
