It is recom mended that all operator s of this equipm ent become thor oughly fam iliar with the controls, parts and operation of this m achine before oper ating.
6 SECTION 2 - CONTROLS Before operating, become familiar w ith all the controls (See Figure 2.1A) and how to use them. Know beforehand how to STOP the Right Hand and Left Hand Traction W heel Drives, the Mo wer Blades, and th e Engine in preparation for a possible emergency.
7 SECTION 3 - OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS 3.1 PRE-STA RT CHECKLIST Make the following checks and perform the services as required bef ore each start-up. IM PORTANT: Bef ore starting your SN A PPER Pro Hydro machine, the hydraulic reserv oir and engine MUS T be filled to the proper lev el with oil.
8 SECTION 3 - OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS 3.2 STOPPING IMPO RTA NT : Pulling bac kward on both Traction Controls back past Neutral position will cause the m achine to back up. 1. Pull back on both Tr action Controls sim ultaneously towards handle bar. Manually engage the Neutral Latch Lever.

14 SECTION 3 - OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS WA RNING Shield the positive t ermin al with termin al cover located on bat tery harness. T his prevents met al fro m touching the positive terminal, which could cause sparks. Cables must b e connected to battery terminals in the proper position.
15 SECTION 3 - OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS 3.17 NEW BATTERY PREPA RA TION 1. Remove batter y from c arton. 2. Place battery in a well ventilated area on a level non- concrete s urface. 3. Rem ove battery ce ll caps. Fill cells as required with electrolyte (purchas ed separately) to proper level.

19 SECTION 4 - SERVICE WA RNING Once blades are disengaged, the y should come to a complete stop in 7 se conds. If the blades continue to rotate afte r 7 seconds , the electr ic clutch should be checked . Replacement of electric clutch may be necessary.
