Its purpose, aside from recom mending oper ating and routine servic e requirements , is to promote safety through the use of accepted operating practic es.
6 Section 2 - OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS 2.1 PRE-STA RT CHECK LIST Make the following c hecks and per form the service required bef ore each start-up. 2.1.1. Check guards, deflectors, gr ass bag, adapter and covers to mak e sure all are in plac e and securely tightened.

W hen the ignition k ey is turned the to “RUN” position, the engine will crank over using the recoil backup.
8 Section 2 - OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS WA RNING Before attempting any adjustments to the cutting height, STOP the engine, remove the spar k plug wire from the spark plug and secure wire away from plug. DO NOT make any adjustments w ith engine or blade running.

10 Section 3 - MA INTENA NCE 3.1 INTRODUCT ION To retain the quality of the m ower, use genuine SNAPPER replacem ent parts only. Contact a local SNAPPER dealer for parts and service assistanc e. For the cor rect part or inform ation for a particular mower, always mention m odel and serial num ber.

Replacing Bearing In Driven Disc If the driven dis c bearing fails , remove the dr iven disc as sembly and replace bearing as f ollows: 1.

Place batter y in a well ventilated area on a level non- concrete s urface. 3. Rem ove battery cell caps. F ill cells as required with electrolyte (purchas ed separately) to proper level.
