10 Section 3 - OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS 3.1 PRE-STA RT CHECK LIST Make the following c hecks and per form the service required bef ore each start-up. 3.1.1. Check tires and add or release air as needed to bring press ure to 12 psi in drive tires . Pressure in front dec k caster wheels should be 25 psi.
11 Section 3 - OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS 3.2 STA RTING & STOPPING – ENGINE, BLA DES, PA RKING BRAKE This mac hine is equipped with dual hydrostatic wheel drive transm issions. Each transm ission is controlled by a single motion c ontrol lever or joystick.
12 Section 3 - OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS 3.2.5. PA RKING BRA KE 1. Engage parking brak e by pulling the park ing brak e lever back to the engaged pos ition. NOTE : Motion control lever ( joy stick ) m ust be in the Neutral position to engage brake. See Figure.

14 Section 4 - MA INTENA NCE 4.1 INTRODUCT ION To retain the quality of the SNAPPER m ower, use genuine SNAPPER replacem ent parts only. Contact a local SNAPPER dealer for par ts and service as sistance. For the cor rect part or inf ormation for a particular SNAPPER mo wer, alway s m ention the m odel and serial num ber.
15 Section 4 - MA INTENA NCE 4.2.3. CHECK MOWER DRIVE BELT 1. Foot Rest Removal a. Lower deck to lowest setting. b. Remove footres t. See Figure 4.3. c. Rem oval of footres t will allow acces s to deck belt. FIGURE 4.3 2. Check Belt Tensio n The idler and s pring provide proper belt tension and require no adj ustment.
