3 INTRODUCTION Thank you for p urchasi ng th e S oleus Air MAC-8000 8,000 BT U Po rt able Air Conditioner and Dehu midifier . This unit is designed to improve indoor livin g and working comfort by providing cooli ng, dehumidifying, and ventilation with mini mal installation.
LCDI POWER CORD AND PLUG This air conditioner is equippe d with an LCDI (Leakage Current Detection an d Interruption) power cord and plug as re quired by US National Electric Code 440.65. This cord consists of a lengt h of shielded flexible cord with no termination on the load side and a LCDI attachment plug on the l ine side.

INST ALLA TION SELECTING THE LOCA TION Place the unit in a flat location where th e air o utlets are not obstructed. Place the unit at least 20 ” (50cm) a way fro m a wa ll or other obstacle. MOUNTING THE EXHAUST HOSE Slide the square end of the ex haust duct over the hot air outlet on the back of the unit.
WINDOW KIT INST ALLA TION The window kit is designed to fi t into most standard vertical and horizont al windows. However , it may be necessary to modify some aspects of the inst allation process for certain window types. 1. Open the window or sliding door and adjust the length of the window kit to fit the opening.
CONTROL P ANEL POWER Button Press this button to turn the un it on or off. MODE Button Press this button to select amo ng the modes of cooling, dehumidifying, or fan only . F AN Button Press this button to select the desired fan speed. SWING Button Press this button to oscillate t he louvers or stop oscillation.
OPERA TIO N Plug the power cor d into a properly groun ded outlet. Do not co nnect the unit to an outlet that is also being use d for other electrical appliances. The unit will beep after two seconds, the n press the on/off button to begin operation. COOLING 1.
CONTINUOUS DRAINAGE 1. Slide out the drain valve fro m the left side of the unit. 2. Connect the drain tube to the v alve. 3. Make sure the drain tube dra ins downward. 4. Place a pan or bucket under the drain tube t o hold the condens ate water , or let the tube drain d own a gravity drain .
MAINTENANCE Always turn off and unpl ug the unit before cleaning to avoid electrical shock. CLEANING THE HOUSING Wipe the surface of the unit with a soft, da mp cloth. Do not use abrasive chemica ls or detergents to clean the surface of the unit, as the unit may become scratched or damage d.
TROUBLESHOOTING Before seeking repair or ser vice, please check the following: PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE REMEDY Is the unit plugged in? Securely plug the power cord i nto the wall outlet. Is the main power supply on? Reestablish the main power supply . Is the water bucket full indicator light on? Empty the water bucket.
