4 Getting Started Resetting the unit Before o perating th e unit for t h e f irst time , or after r eplaci ng the car batter y or chan ging the connection s, you must reset the unit. Detach the front panel a nd press the RESET butto n wi th a poin te d ob ject , su ch a s a b all poi nt pen.

12 Using optional equipment A uxi liary audio equipment By connec ting an op tiona l portab le au dio device to the A UX input jack (ste reo mini ja ck) on the unit an d then si mply selecting the source , you can lis ten on you r car speakers . The volum e level is adjust able for any difference be tween the unit and the po rtab le audi o device.
13 • Before playi ng, cl ean the di scs with a commer cially av ailable cleanin g cloth. Wipe each disc from the cen tre out. D o not use solv ents s uch as benzine , thinner , commercially av ailable clea ners, o r ant istat ic spra y intend ed for anal ogue discs.
14 Maintenance Replacing the lithium b attery of the card remote commander Under nor mal c onditions, t he batte ry will l ast appr oximat ely 1 year . (The servi ce life ma y be shorter, dep ending on the c ondition s of use.) When the ba ttery becomes wea k, the range o f the card rem ote comma nder beco mes shorte r .
15 2 Remove the un it. 1 Insert bo th rele ase keys sim ultan eously until the y click. 2 Pull th e release keys to unseat t he unit. 3 Slide the unit out o f the mounti ng.
16 T roubleshooting The following c hecklist will help you remedy problems you may encoun ter with you r unit. Before goi ng through th e chec klist bel ow , check the connect ion an d operating pro cedur es. General No power is being suppli ed to the unit.
