4 SECTION 2 GENERAL DESCRIPTIONS 2.1 Multi-band : CMD-J16 support E-GSM 900 and DCS 1800 multi-band functionality. For the use in Euro pe and in ot her cou ntries w orldwi de, ETSI has specif ied GS M standards into tw o frequ ency bands.
5 2.2 Radio Frequency Power Levels: Between the DCS 1800 a nd both GSM Sy stems are differ ences r egarding t he power leve l. DCS 1 800 bas ically needs lower pow er levels. If the perfor mance of a MS f or GSM system was certified of 2W (Pow er Class 4), then in the DCS-180 0 system it i s only 1W (Po wer Class 1 ).
