After r ecordin g, set t he LENS C OVER switch to CL OSE, to clo se the l ens c over. Open th e LCD pane l 90 degrees to th e camcorde r ( 1 ), then rotate it t o the be st angle to reco rd or pl ay ( 2 ).

18 You can ma gnify imag es up to 40 time s the orig inal size w ith the powe r zoom leve r or the zoom buttons on the LCD frame. Move th e powe r zoom l eve r slig htly for a slower zoom .
19 Recordin g/Playback To adj ust t he ex posure for backl it su bjects , press BACK LIGHT to display . . To cancel th e back light fun ction, press BAC K LIGHT ag ain. Open th e LCD pane l 90 degrees to th e camcorde r ( 1 ), then r otate it 180 degrees to the lens side ( 2 ).
20 Playba ck Slide the PO WER switch in the di rection of the arrow repeatedly to turn on the PLAY/ EDIT lamp. Start playin g back. Touch to re wind the tape to the desired poi nt, then touch to start pl ayback . * Playback automatically stops if pause is engaged for more than 3 minutes.
21 Recordin g/Playback Using the guide func tions (US AGE GUID E) You can easily select the desired setting screens by using t he guide functio ns (USAGE GUIDE). Your cam corder has 2 guide func tions as shown below. 1 Touch [GUIDE]. 2 Sele ct the desired item.
22 Search ing for t he sta rting poi nt Make sure that the CAMERA lamp lights up (p . 17). [END SCH] (END SEARCH) will not work once yo u eject th e cassett e after you have rec orded on the tape .
23 Recordin g/Playback 3 Select [E DITSEARCH] with / , then touch [ EXEC]. 4 S elec t [ON ] wi th / , then touch [EX EC] t . 5 Touch . The last fe w seconds of the mo st rece ntly r ecord ed sce ne are play ed bac k. Then, your camcor der is set to standby.
