2 HCD-PX333 SELF-DIA GNOSIS FUNCTION The self-diagnosis function consists of error codes for customers, which are displayed automatically when errors occur , and err or codes, which sho w the error history in the test mode during servicing.

9 HCD-PX333 JIG FOR CHECKING BD (MD) BO ARD W A VEFORM The special jig (J-2501-196-A) is useful for checking the wa veform of the BD (MD) board. The names of terminals and the checking items to be performed are sho wn as follows.
10 HCD-PX333 Note 1: About “ R ” As this unit has only a fe w buttons, some operations require the use of remote commander (RM-S55EN/provided with unit: 1-476-664-21) buttons. These operations are indicated as “ R ” in this manual. Example: MENU/NO “ R ” .
11 HCD-PX333 CHECKS PRIOR TO PAR TS REPLA CEMENT AND ADJUSTMENTS IN MD Before performing repairs, perform the follo wing checks to determine the faulty locations up to a certain extent. Details of the procedures are described in “5 Electrical Adjustments”.

41 HCD-PX333 6-4. Auto Chec k This test mode performs CREC and CPLA Y automatically for mainly checking the characteristics of the optical pick-up. T o perform this test mode, the laser pow er must first be checked. Perform Auto Check after the laser power check and Iop compar e.
