21 Recordin g/Playback Recording/P layback Recor ding Your camcorder records movies on memory cards. Do the fol lowing steps to record movies. • This cam corder can record movies in eit her high definition image quality ( HD) or standard definition image quality (SD).
22 2 Slide the POW ER switch to ON w hile pressing the green button. 3 Press the record button or the handle record button. The reco rding lam p lights up du ring record ing. To stop the movie record ing, press the re cord butto n or the handle re cord button a gain.
23 Recordin g/Playback b Not es • Do not eject the memory card that is currently being used f or recording. Replace only the memory card whose slot lamp is off. • Even if you press the memory card slot button, A or B, while recording movies, you cannot switch the slot currently being used.
24 You can se lect th e reco rding format (b it-rate , ima ge quali ty, ima ge size, frame r ate, sca nning system). In the default setting, [ ] is selected. To chan ge the s etting Press MENU t select (REC/OUT SET) t [REC FORMAT] with the SEL/PUSH EXEC dial.

26 You ca n adjust the foc us manual ly for different recording conditio ns. Use this functio n in the following cases. – T o record a subject behind a window cover ed with raindrops. – T o record horizontal stripes. – T o record a subjec t with little contrast betwee n the subject and its background.
27 Recordin g/Playback [EXPANDED FOCUS] is assi gned to the ASS IGN 7 but to n (p. 3 9). Press the ASSIGN 7 button. [EXPANDED FOCUS] appears a nd the center of t he sc reen i s mag nifie d by a bout 2.0 ti mes. It will be eas ier to confir m the focus setting during manua l focusing.

29 Recordin g/Playback [100] appears on th e screen whe n you set the shutter sp eed to 1/ 100 sec ond. The la rger th e value on t he scre en, the faster the shutter speed. 4 Press the SEL/PUSH EXEC dial G to lock the shutter speed. To readjust the shutter speed, do steps 2 to 4 .

81 Troubles hooting Another video device m alfunctions when you use the sup plied Wireless Remote Commander. • Select a comm ander mode other than DVD2 for your video device. • Cover the sensor of your video dev ice with black paper.
