2 About this Manual This manual provides instructions to help you enjoy your new TV . It shows you how to connect to an antenn a or cable, cable box, VCR, DVD, sa tellite receiver , stereo system, or camcorder . On ce your TV is connected, follow the instructions and use the r em ote control to access the on-scr een menus.

13 Remote Contr ol TV a nd Ca ble Bo x Some cable TV systems use scramble d or encoded signals that r equir e a cable box to view all channels. If you subscribe to such type of service, use this connection. 1 Connect the coaxial cable fr o m your cable service to the IN jack on your cable bo x.
14 Connections Connec ting a TV , V CR, and Cable Box Use this connection if you subscribe to a cable s ystem that scrambles some channels (pa y channels), but not all of them .

23 Basi c Functi ons Using Basic Functions Setting Up the TV After you have finished connecting your TV , yo u can use Auto Program to set up your channels. Du ring Auto Program, the TV will auto matically sea r ch for available cha nnels and program r eceivable channels .

36 Men us United Stat es: Selecting Custom Rating Options For the United States, th e Custom Rating menu includes the f ollowing opti ons: Movie Rating, TV Rating and Un rated. (For Canada, s ee page 38.) Movie Rating This system defines the rating levels of m ovies shown in theaters and on prime cable channels.
