15 GB Getting Started A Antennas Find a location and an orientation that provide good reception, and then set up the antennas. Keep t he ant ennas a way f rom th e speak er cords, the power cord and the USB cable to avoid picking up noise.
16 GB Slide and remove the battery compartment lid, then, insert the two supplied R6 (size AA) batteries, E side first, matching the polarities shown below.
17 GB Basic Oper ations Playing an AUDIO CD/ MP3 disc 1 Press CD. 2 Press Z OPEN/CLOSE. To place additional discs, slide the disc tray with your finger as shown above. To close the disc tray, press Z OPEN/ CLOSE on the unit again. Do not forcibly push the disc tray to close it as this may damage the unit.

20 GB To tune in a station with a weak signal Use buttons on the remote for the operation. 1 Press TUNING MODE repeatedly until “AUTO” and “PRESET” disappear from the display. 2 Press +/– repeatedly to tune in the station you want. You can also use TUNING +/– on the unit.
21 GB Basic Oper ations When the USB cable connection is necessary, connect the USB cable supplied with the USB device to be connected. Refer to the operating instructions supplied with the USB device to be connected for details on the opera tion method.

26 GB To erase audio files or fold ers from the USB device You can erase audio files or folders from the USB device. 1 Connect a transferable USB device to the A or B port on the unit. 2 Press and select USB A or USB B (Press USB (RM-AMU053) or press FUNCTION +/– (RM-AMU054) repeatedly on the remote) in stop mode.

39 GB Additional Inf o rmation Troubleshooting Should you encounter a problem with your system, do the following: 1 Make sure the power cord and speaker cords are correctly and firmly connected. 2 Find your problem in the checklist below, and take the indicated corrective action.
