21 Hookup s and Settings Controlling TVs wi th the remote You ca n adjust th e re mote con trol’s si gnal to cont ro l yo ur TV. If you co nnecte d th e record er to an AV am p lifier (receiv er), yo u can als o use the s upplie d remot e to control the AV amplifi e r’s (receive r’s) volu me.

40 Recording Before Recording Before you start recording … • Th is reco rder ca n record on variou s discs. S elect the dis c type ac cordin g to your n eeds (pa ge 8). • Ch eck that th e disc ha s en ough avai l ab le space for the re cording (pa ge 34).
41 Record ing * The recorde d di sc can be played only on CPRM compa tible e quipmen t. Timer Recor ding (S tandar d/ VCR Pl us +) You can se t the t imer f or a tot al of 3 0 prog rams, u p to one m o nth in advan ce. There are two methods to set the timer: the stand ard meth od and V CR Pl us+ met hod.

46 Changing the pri ority of overl apped settings If the timer se ttings ove rlap, the program th at was set la st has pr iority and wi ll be recorded. A time r reco rding of lowe r priori ty may be canc eled, start from the middle or stop midway through the progra m.
