4 GB Enjoy listening to music over your Wi-Fi ne twork Choose A or B in order to list en to music store d in a PC over your home network. Listening by smartphone/iPhone oper ation First, install the “ SongP al ” app (page 22 ) on your smartphone/iPhone.
5 GB Listening with AirPlay (f or iT unes users) Y ou can listen to music in your iT unes by operating the PC. Make a Wi-Fi c onnection between the unit and wir eless router . B Required it ems: Wireless r outer (with acc ess point) PC (with iT unes installed) Each device needs to be c onnected to Wi-Fi beforehand.
Listening by smartphone/iPhone opera tion 6 A GB Smartphone C onnecting to Wi-Fi by “SongP al” First, make a BLUET OOTH c onnection with the unit. Then configure the Wi-Fi se ttings. Complet e step 6 (page 8 ) within 15 minutes after turning on the unit.
7 GB 3 Start up the “SongPal” app. T ap [SongPal] on your smartphone. Follow the on-scr een instructions. NFC compatible smartphone T ouch the N-Mark on the unit with the smartphone. T ouch and hold until the smartphone responds. Non-NFC compatible smartphone T ap [Open the Bluetooth setting screen].
Listening by smartphone/iPhone opera tion 8 A GB T ap and hold the (BL UETOO TH) P AIRING button until the (BLUET OO TH) indicator begins to flash quickly .
9 GB 1 Pr eliminary steps: Recor d the SSID and password of your r outer in the spaces below . SSID: P assword: For det ails, refer to the oper ating instructions of your router . Make sur e the NETWORK OFF/ON switch on the rear of the unit is set t o ON.
Listening by smartphone/iPhone opera tion 10 A GB 3 Set the unit to paring mode . T ap the (BLUET OOTH) P AIRING button once. T ap and hold the (BLUET OOTH) P AIRING button until the (BLUET OO TH) indicator begins to flash quickly .
11 GB 6 Start up “SongP al” . The home screen of “SongPal” is displayed. Follow the on-scr een instructions. 7 Configur e the Wi-Fi settings, following the app’ s instructions. Flashing Lit When the Wi-Fi connection is c omplete, the LINK indicator lights up in gr een.
Listening by smartphone/iPhone opera tion 12 A GB Smartphone iPhone Listening t o music over your Wi-Fi network Follow the on-scr een instructions of the “SongP al” app. 1 Set up your PC as a DLNA server . For det ails about settings, refer t o Help Guide.
13 GB 4 Select a song from the list and play it. Music in your PC will be heard fr om the unit. page 22 About “SongP al”.

T o check if your wireless rout er is compatible with WPS (Wi-Fi Pr otecte d Setup™), refer t o the operating instructions of your r outer .
15 GB 1 Check the LAN cable is not connect ed , then turn on the unit. Make sur e the NETWORK OFF/ON switch is set to ON, then turn on the unit. When the LINK indicator turns off , go to the ne xt step. 2 Place the unit and wir eless r outer closer , then press the WPS buttons as follows.

19 GB 10 Check the LINK indicat or lights up in green. 11 Play music by opera ting your PC (iT unes). Flashing Lit When the Wi-Fi connection is c omplete, the LINK indicator lights up in gr een. Music in your iT unes will be heard fr om the unit via AirPlay .
20 GB T r oubleshooting A Wi-Fi connection betwe en the unit and home network is not pos sible If a LAN cable is connect ed to the unit, disconnect it and r estart the unit. The unit automatically tries t o connect to the home network over a wired ne twork when a LAN cable is connect ed to the unit.
21 GB How to check Wi-Fi signal str ength (rec eption sensitivity) While the unit is connecte d to Wi-Fi (the LINK indicator lights up in gr een), tap and hold the NETWORK button until you hear a beep. 3 2 1 0 Signal strength Number of flashing indicators Function buttons on the t op panel of the unit start to flash.
22 GB About “SongP al” “SongP al” is an app for contr olling Sony audio devices which ar e compatible with “SongPal” , by your smartphone/iPhone. Downloading this app on your smartphone (page 6 ) or iPhone (page 9 ) provides the following.
