25 Basic Operation Turning On or Off Standby Setup: The AC power cord must be set up and connected to have the TV in standby mode ready to be turned on. Press the ON/OFF button on the side panel of the TV to go into standby mode. 1. If the TV is in standby mode, press the POWER button on the remote or the TV itself to turn the TV on.

28 Setting up T V Channel Auto Scan Automatically find all channels available through Antenna or Cable and stores them in memory on the channel list. 1. 34 Dynamic Noise Reduce Use this feature to diminish picture artifacts caused by the digitizing of image motion content that may be present in the picture. 1. Press the MENU button and then press the Down or Up button to select the Video . 2. Press the OK button and then press the Down or Up button to select Advanced Video .
35 Adv anced Video Black Level Extender Use this feature to increase the picture reproduction performance in the dark areas of the picture. 1. Press the MENU button and then press the Down or Up button to select the Video . 2. Press the OK button and then press the Down or Up button to select Advanced Video .
36 Adv anced Video White Peak Limiter Use this feature to limit excessive white in bright areas of the picture, caused by a lower sync level for a channel being received from the antenna or cable. 1. Press the MENU button and then press the Down or Up button to select the Video .
37 Adv anced Video CTI(Color Transient Intensity) This feature can be used to reduce the time taken to transition from one color to another. The effect will be seen as sharpening the border between colors. 1. Press the MENU button and then press the Down or Up button to select the Video .
38 Adv anced Video Flesh Tone In some cases, activation of this feature can result in a more pleasing production of sky and flesh color. 1. Press the MENU button and then press the Down or Up button to select the Video . 2. Press the OK button and then press the Down or Up button to select Advanced Video .
39 Adv anced Video Adaptive Luma Control Large areas of darkness in a picture will result in a lower Average Picture Level (APL) and the overall picture will look too dark; activation of this feature will raise the APL to counteract this effect. 1. Press the MENU button and then press the Down or Up button to select the Video .
40 Sound C ontr ols Auto Sound Controls Sound Mode lets you enjoy the best sound without any special adjustment because the set sets the appropriate sound options. 1. Press the MENU button and then press the Down or Up button to select the Audio . 2. Press the OK button and then press the Down or Up button to select Sound Mode .
41 Sound C ontr ols Manual Sound Controls This is the function to adjust the audio condition in the way the user wants. 1. Press the MENU button and then press the Down or Up button to select the Audio . 2. Press the OK button and then press the Down or Up button to select desired picture option.
42 Sound C ontr ols Stereo/SAP Broadcast Setup This TV can receive MTS stereo programs and any SAP (Secondary Audio Program) that accompanies the stereo program if the station transmits an additional sound signal as well as the original one and when you select Stereo or SAP on the remote control.
43 Time S etting Time Zone Setting You can set the Time Zone for your local area. This is operated from the Auto Synchronization. 1. Press the MENU button and then press the Down or Up button to select the Setup . 2. Press the OK button and then press the Down or Up button to select Time Setup .
44 Time S etting Auto Time Setting The time is set automatically from a digital channel signal. The digital channel signal includes information for the current time provided by the broadcasting station. Set the time manually if the current time is set incorrectly by the Auto Synchronization function.
45 Manual Time Setting If the current time setting is wrong, reset the clock manually. 1. Press the MENU button and then press the Down or Up button to select the Setup . 2. Press the OK button and then press the Down or Up button to select Time Setup .
46 Time S etting Auto On/Off Time Setting The timer function operates only if the current time has been set. The TV turns on/off automatically with the Power On/Off Timer function. 1. Press the MENU button and then press the Down or Up button to select the Setup .

51 Reset Default Use to quickly reset all the menu options to their original factory preset values. This function deletes all TV channel. 1. 52 P arental Con trol Enter the your password Parental Control can be used to block specific channels, ratings and other viewing sources. Set up blocking schemes to block specific channels, ratings, and external viewing sources. A password is required to gain access to this menu.
53 Rating Enable/Disable Enables or disables the blocking scheme you set up previously. 1. After inputting the password, press the Down or Up button to choose Program Block . 2. Press the OK button and then press the Down or Up button to select Rating Enable .
54 P arental Con trol TV Ratings for USA Prevents children from watching certain TV programs, according to the rating limits set. The children rat- ing does not apply to other TV programs. Unless you block certain TV programs intended for mature audiences in the TV Rating - sub menu, your children can view those programs.
55 TV (FCC) Content Sub-Categories: D : Dialog...sexual innuendo. L : Offensive language. S : Sexual Situation V : Violence. FV : Fantasy or cartoon violence. TV-MA Mature audiences only. This program may contain mature themes, profane language, graphic violence and explicit sexual content.
56 P arental Con trol Movie Ratings Blocks movies according to the movie ratings limits specified, so children cannot view certain movies. You can set the ratings limit by blocking out all the movies with the ratings above a specified level.
57 TV Rating English for Canada Selecting canadian english language rating system. 1. After inputting the password, press the Down or Up button to choose Program Block . 2. Press the OK button and then press the Down or Up button to select Canadian English Ratings .
