33 5. Live, Search, and Play back 5-1. Live Viewing Screen In the Live screen, vide o inputs from the cameras are display ed as t hey are configured in the Display Setup screen. V arious on-screen display (OSD) symbols, which indicate the status of the DVR, are described in T able 5.

Once you have selected the date, press the SEL button to move to the tim e line search w indow . 3. Use the control bu t ton ( ◀ ▲ ▶ ▼ ) to select a ti me zone on the 24 hours time t able.
37 6. Once you have selected the t ype of recording to search for , press SEL to produce a list of instances that fit your sea rch criteria. 7. Use the control bu t ton ( ◀ ▲ ▶ ▼ ) to scroll through the on-screen li stings.
38 5-3. Play mode During playba ck of a rec orded event, the m ode changes fr om SEARCH to PLA Y . W hile in PLA Y mode, you may return to the SEARCH screen by pressing t he ESC button.
39 6. P TZ Control T o control the PTZ functions of t he camera, select MEN U and PTZ on the screen using the mouse or press the PTZ but ton on the fron t panel .
40 User can set the p r eset number in the tour group of the OSD m enu. OSD Select the OSD to enter the menu. Cont rol keys are Right, Left, UP , Do wn, Select, Far (REW KEY), and Near ( FF KEY) . Press the ESC button to return to the main menu. Press the PTZ b utton to escap e from the OSD menu.
41 7. Back Up 7-1 . S till Image Backup onto USB Flash Driv e S till images can be capt ured and archived onto the USB flash drive in live mode or whil e playi ng back recorded vide o. In live mode, press t he BACKUP button to launch the archiv e function or select MENU and BAC K UP on the screen using the mo use.

44 8. Upgrading Firmware In order to upgrade , the firmware upgrade file must first be downloade d and copied into the USB flash drive . Create a new f older in the USB f lash drive and name it “upgrade” . Copy the firmware upgrade f ile into the “upgrade” folder .
45 9. Network A ccess Using the Single-Site N et work V iewer The DVR provides a live r emote monitorin g feature. Remote m onitoring requires installatio n of the network view er on your PC. NOTICE In a high bandwid th network, a maximum of four users can access one DVR simultaneously .

75 Setting the Send E - Mail : This setting is used to automa tically send a notification e-mail to a spe cified address w hen an alarm occurs. 76 Setting the NT P : It allows synchroni zing the ti me using an inte r net of LAN NTP server . NTP : S ets whether to synchroni ze the time u sing NTP server or not. Primary SNTP Server : Input the NTP primary serv er address. Secondary SNTP Server : Input the NTP secondary server address.
