Use 8d nails or equivalent ( Figure 17 ). Step 3. Position appropriate firestop spacer at ceiling and nail temporarily with two (2) 8d nails.

FTF8 flashings require flashing spacers. Slide flashing all the way down until the flashing base rests flat on the roof ( Figure 29 ).
