Sockets ANT Aerial input The K1 AV features a 75 Ω aerial input ANT , which is suitable both for a normal domestic aerial and for a cable connection. ‘Trailing wire’ aerials generally prod uce very limited, poor-quality reception, and should be used at best a s a temporary solution.
B Loudspeaker terminals * The secondary pair of loudspeakers (remote speakers) should be connected to the ¾ B loudspeaker output; these are the speakers in the adjacent room. The impedance of each speaker should be no lower than 4 Ω. * The impedance of each speaker should be no lower than 4 Ω (DIN measurement).
Wiring Notes on connecting the sy stem • You will find wiring diagrams on the following pages. • Be sure to connect all your equipment exactly as shown in these diagrams. • Push a ll connectors firmly into their sockets. L oose connections can cause hum and other unwanted noises.

Problem: Unwanted whis tling sound from the loudspeakers. Cause: The aerial is too close to a mains cable or Cinch inter-connect lead. Remedy: Re-position the cable an adequate distance away.
Tuner: Problem: The RDS station name does not appe ar on the integral screen. Cause 1: The station is not bro adcasting RDS information, or the station is not correctly tuned. Remedy: Tune in the station so that the tuning indicator is central. Cause 2: Interference is affectin g the station, or the field strength is too low.
