1 TANDBERG 150 MXP 2 1.1 At a Glance 1. Camera The cam era has m anual tilt and focus. Turn the lens to adjust focus. ( Tip! Press Selfview first to see y our video picture). Tilt the cam era by manually adjusting the tilt ang le with the wheel to the right of the lens.
1 TANDBERG 150 MXP 3 Use the Camera lens cap at the back side of the product to cover the lens when the product is not in use. The cam era lens cap protects the lens and also assures you from involuntary broadcasting of yo ur video image. 7. Keypad The k ey pad contains all the keys y ou need to control the sy stem .
1 TANDBERG 150 MXP 4 1.2 Unpacking and Mounting Unpacking the system The system lies fully assem bled in the box. Remove the accessories box and carefully l if t the system out of the box. To protect the cam era lens while in stalling, it i s recom m ended to keep the cam era lens cap on.

1 TANDBERG 150 MXP 7 1.4 Sy stem Configuration Before y ou begin it i s recom m ended to configure y our system. Navigate through the settings using the arrow key s and OK. Remem ber to press the Save button on the bo ttom of each menu to save y our changes.
8 2 General Use Wake up the system W hen all c ables are connected as described in chapter 1.3 Connecting Cabl es , the sy s tem is ready f or use. The Welcom e Screen W hen the sy stem is powered, y ou will see the welcome screen. Your dial in n umber is displayed in the upper right corner.
2 General Use 9 2.1 The Key pad 1. Number keys Use Num ber keys to dial video numbers. Use the star k ey to get the dot sign when dia ling an IP number. W hen y ou are in an input field where letters are required, the sy s tem automatically goes to letter mode.
2 General Use 10 Press Phone Book to open the sy stem s phone book . Store and recall y our video contacts via the system Phone Book for easy pla c em ent of calls (see chapter 2.6 Phone Book for m ore inform ation). 5. End Call Use the red End Call key to end the current call.
2 General Use 11 19. Speaker Press Speaker to activate the speaker. T he Speaker k ey is lit when the speaker is active. Press Speaker again to turn the speaker off . 20. Cancel Cancel takes you back one step in the menu sy s tem. Us e Cancel also to delete characters in an input field.
2 General Use 12 2.2 On Screen Indicators The system has a number of icons signaling dif ferent settings: Microph one Off This indicator is shown when th e microphone is turned off . Press the Mic off button again to turn the microphone back on. Privacy This indicator is shown when th e Privacy k ey on the k ey pad is activated.
2 General Use 13 2.3 Navigation A rrow keys and OK Navigate in the menu with arrow key s . The orange selector on screen shows the selected item. Press OK to select. Back/Cancel button The X button in the menu corres ponds with the X key on the rem ote.

2 General Use 15 2.4.1 Make Video Call How to make a video call: 1. Press the green key on the key pad (or any of the other possibil ities m entioned in chapter Make a Call) to open the Call menu. 2. Dial a vi deo number m anually , see details below, or select a conference participant from the Phone Boo k, see 2.
2 General Use 16 2.4.2 Make Telephone Call The T ANDBERG sy s tem has gr eat audio- as wel l as video perform ance. Use the system both as a videophon e and a telepho ne! How to make a telephone call: 1. Press the green key on the key pad (or any of the other possibil ities m entioned in chapter Make a Call) to open the Call menu.
2 General Use 17 2.4.3 Call Settings The field on the right in the call m enu display s Call Settings. Call Settings gives y ou the opportunity to specify Call Ty pe and Bandwid th. How to use Call Settings: 1. Press the green key on the key pad (or any of the other possibil ities m entioned in chapter Make a Call) to open the Call menu.
2 General Use 18 Use Set as Default If you want to change th e default Call Setti ngs, m ak e the desired changes to the Call Sett ings and Press Set as Default. Press OK to Save. These settings will now be the default settings for all future manually d ialed calls.
2 General Use 19 2.5 Answer an incoming Call How to answer an incoming call: 1. To accept an incom ing call, press the green key or press OK when the Accept button on screen is selected. 2. To rejec t and incoming call, press the red key or press OK when the Reject button o n screen is selected.
2 General Use 20 2.6 End Call How to end a call: 1. Press the red key on the key pad. A dialog box appears on the screen. 2. Press the red key on the key pad again or OK to confirm that y ou want to end the call. Press Cancel to continue the call. If you are using the handset, y ou can end the call by hanging up.
2 General Use 21 2.7 Phone Book The local Phone Book stores up to 200 contacts. Using the Phone Book is time saving and mak es sur e y ou do not inadvertently call the wrong n um ber. The contacts are s orted alphabeticall y. Navigat e the phone book with arrow keys or letter key s, searching on the first letter (like on a mobile/cellular phone).
2 General Use 22 2.7.1 Global Phon e Book If your sy stem is connected to an external managem ent system like the TANDBERG Management Suite (TMS), it is possible to use a central contact list from the m anagem ent system. These contacts can not be changed locall y by the system, only f rom the managem ent system.
2 General Use 23 2.7.2 New Select the New button to make a new contact. You can store up to 200 contacts in y our local phone book. To m ak e a new contact, y ou mus t specify a Name and Number.
2 General Use 24 2.7.3 Edit To edit a contact, highlight th e contact and press arrow left. Press arrow key dow n to select the Edit button. In the edit w indow y ou can edit Nam e, Call Typ e, Net, Num ber and Bandwidth.
2 General Use 25 2.7.4 Delete To delete a contact, highlight the contact and press arrow left. Press arrow key dow n to select the Delete button and press OK.
26 3 Administrator Settings Settings contain al l the settings of the sy stem . Mak ing changes to Settings w ill change the behaviour of the sy stem .
273 Administrator Settings 27 3.1 General Settings W hen instal ling the sy stem , go through the General Setti ngs menu to ensure that you h ave the right settings for yo ur system, see chapter 1.
283 Administrator Settings 28 3.1.1 Language The system supports 13 diff erent languages for its on-screen m enus; English, German, Frenc h, Norwegian, S wedish, Ital ian, Spani sh, Portuguese, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Japanese, Russian and Korean.
293 Administrator Settings 29 3.1.2 Sys tem Name Sy stem Nam e is blank by default. Sy stem nam e can be alphanumeric and up to 50 characters long. Follow the installation procedure to enter a Sy stem Nam e.
303 Administrator Settings 30 3.1.3 A utoansw er The auto answer setting decides whe ther an incoming call is put through automatically or manually. On The system will automatically answer all incoming calls. On+ Mic Off The system will automatically answer all incoming calls and switch the microphone off when the call is connected.
313 Administrator Settings 31 3.1.4 Max Call Length This feature will automatically end both incoming and outgoing calls whe n the call tim e exceeds the specified Max Call Length. Ma x Call Length can hav e the followi ng values: 0-999 (minutes), where 0 means off .
323 Administrator Settings 32 3.1.5 Global Phon e Book Settings Global On Global Phone B ook is available in the menu. Off Global Phone B ook is hidden from the menu and is unavailable for users. IP address Enter the IP address of the managem ent system that provides the Ph one Book.
333 Administrator Settings 33 3.2 Audio A udio contains the settings: TT Y (Text telephone) Alert Tones and Volume.
343 Administrator Settings 34 3.2.1 TTY (Text telephone) A TT Y is a special d evice that lets peop le who are de af, hard of hearing, or speech-im paired use the telephone t o comm unicate, by al lowing them to type mes sages back and forth to one another instead of talking and listening.
353 Administrator Settings 35 3.2.2 A lert Tones and Volume Video Call A lert To ne and Teleph one A lert T one To help distinguish betw een incom ing video calls and ordi nar y telephone calls, it is recomm ended to use different ringing tones for video calls and tele phone calls.
363 Administrator Settings 36 3.3 Security Security contains the settings: Encryp tion Encryp tion Mode Administrator Password IP Access Password Access Code.
373 Administrator Settings 37 3.3.1 Encry ption (Country s pecific) A uto The system will try to set up calls using encry ption. If the far end system supports encr y ption (AES or DES), the call w ill be encrypted . If not, the call wi ll proceed wi thout encry ption.
383 Administrator Settings 38 3.3.2 Encry ption Mo de A uto The system will try to use the mos t secure encryption - A ES, dependent on the capabilities of the other sites. If all the other sites do not support AES-encry ption, DES encry ption will be t ried.
393 Administrator Settings 39 3.3.4 IP A ccess Pas sw ord By setting an IP Access Password on the system, all access to the sy stem using IP (Telnet, FTP and W EB) requires a pass word. This password can be enabled from telnet or data port using the com mand: ippassword <ip-password>.
403 Administrator Settings 40 3.3.5 A ccess Code An access code will help y ou control the use of the system. All users m ust enter a code to identify themselves and the call wil l be charged on their account. Access Codes are handy for group systems where there are more users or divisions that share the costs of using the sy stem .

423 Administrator Settings 42 3.4.1 IP Settings Remem ber to restart the system af ter mak ing changes to IP Settings. Changes in IP Settings menu will not hav e any eff ect before the system is restarted. IP-assignment DHCP (Dy nam ic Host Conf iguration Protocol) can be selected w hen a DHCP server is present.
433 Administrator Settings 43 By setting an IP Access Password on the system, all access to the sy stem using IP (Telnet, FTP and W EB) requires a pass word.
443 Administrator Settings 44 3.4.2 H.323 Settings E.164 a lias This is the E.164 address of the system. The E.164 address is equivalent to a tel ephone num ber, som etimes c ombined with access codes. Valid characters are 0-9,* and #. W hen using a gatekeeper, the system will send a m es sage to the gatekeeper containing both t he E.
453 Administrator Settings 45 Call Manager Address This is the call manager IP-address that is used if y ou specif y H.323 Call Setu p: Call Manager. A dvanced H.323 S ettings The Advanced H.323 Setting s only have an effec t if they are s upported by your IP infrastructure.
463 Administrator Settings 46 Audio Video Data Signalin g 4 4 3 6 IP Type of Service (TOS) helps a router select a routing path when multiple paths are av ailable. Delay Tells the router to minim ize the de lay . Throughput Tells the router to max imize the throughput.
473 Administrator Settings 47 3.4.3 SIP Settings Proxy Settings To be able to mak e a call with an E.164 ali as or user nam e, Proxy mus t be set to On and an Outbound Proxy IP-address mus t be specified. Outbound Proxy uses alias to look up the far end IP-address.
