The stereo's detachable flat-face control panel lets you quickly remove it to protect against theft.

If you install speakers, avoid routing the speaker wires near moving parts or sharp edges. You can usually route them along the wiring channel beneath the vehicle's door facings by carefully removing the molding that holds the carpet in place. After you route the speaker wires, replace the molding.

The stereo is factory set to display the clock as a default. Follow these steps to change the default display: 1. Turn the stereo off and leave the vehicle's ignition on. 2. Hold down DISP for about 2 seconds. The digits on the display flash. 3. Within 5 seconds, press 2 RPT until the desired display - FRE (Frequency) or CLK (Clock) - appears.
